You‘ll never have the government on your side. They can’t ruin you financially though, at least not here. The can’t take your bitties either, unless you have declared your wallets (not required legally but I know some people do 🤷🏻♂️🤦♂️ you only declare how much you have).
I also asked my friend and he told me you could pay off your taxes in rates if you provide a written statement that doing otherwise would severely affect your daily spendings and life standards, which seems to be your case.
