Working on https://oak-node.net

Not with the current zap design

Exactly :)

Liked note, bot should have sent some sats

Why not sell that as a service?

Advertisers can buy 20 characters or so, sent in the text of zaps by a zapper bot (which does games, lottery, etc), for a limited time period.

Nah, it zaps, which is already a fatal flaw

Cool, send them to me, I'll distribute them fairly :)

What if they would rather keep it private

Doesn't that defeat the purpose of a zap counter?

Lol, tells you a lot about wikipedia's credibility

Common misconception.

Low-value, even scammy content gets lots of views and upvotes on twitter and YT all the time.

Since zaps can be faked, they're a scammer's dream come true.

Already possible, even with BOLT11.

My clicking the like icon on this post of yours just sent 1111 sats, from my self-hosted node directly to your self-hosted node.

Without zaps. Sovereign. Private. Circular economy.

See #[0] where I tested this with more people.

For non-forgeable proof of LN payment, signed by both sender and receiver nostr participants, yes.

Trouble now is the LN wallet has the "proof of payment", and its impractical to ask the user to copy-paste it back to the nostr app, to emit the right events based on it.

No, on purpose.

Working example of what you asked above ("long press a note to quick send preset amounts")

See #[0]

I Just clicked the like icon on your post.

Caused my bot to tip you 1111 sats from my Umbrel to your LN Address.

Had a separate VM, where I didnt even setup a private key in gossip. It only had a local follow list. I started it every few days with "git pull && cargo run".

You're right though, new installs are fine. Just tested it myself.

I start gossip with "git pull && cargo run", so I'm pretty sure I had all the commits. Tried again, still failed.

But the the insert statement fixed it for me, thanks!

This is not a centralizing pattern, because there are different drivers for attention and engagement.

Some want "the sure thing" (i.e. proven content, that others liked or engaged with). Enterntainment, news, etc.

But others want "new and interesting takes" (i.e. from undiscovered accounts with very good points). They're usually discovered when they give an insightful reply. They also have typically very few followers. Their follows are of a similar kind, so if you wnt to follow more "new and interestin takes", such "low profile' accounts are loosely inter-connected. That's why on Bitcoin Tiwtter, some of the best takes come from frog and cat profiles.

So IMO there are competing drivers that spread engagement out across a network.

Besides, once an account gets big, their voice and style changes. They have more to lose, so they tend to cater to their audience. They lose their edge, which part of their audience now switching to contenders in the space.

#[0] the last master version fails to start with "Error: Sql(QueryReturnedNoRows)" when I start it with a clean profile (i.e. no events, no notes, just a local watch list).

> Emoji reaction charged with Sats

Already possible: #[0]

Also non-custodial and works from every nostr client.

- I just NIP-25 liked your note on my desktop Gossip client

- My bot, running on my Umbrel, listened to NIP-25 likes signed by my pubkey

- It saw it, it looked-up the note I tipped, looked up the author of the note

- it tippet the author's LN Address or LNURL a bunch of sats
