Another option to get a lnurl is to use the read-only invoice macaroon and associate it to a lightning address (assuming LND)
You can either run your own federated lightning address server (satdress) or choose from a handful of community supported providers at lightningaddress.com (keep in mind the address provider will have your invoice macaroon😬). Most federated lightning address servers support connecting to hidden services over tor (onions) which is useful if you don't have your node accessible over clearnet
Won't give you zaps (nip57) though 🥹 I'm still waiting to copy someone's homework for that
The highly regarded are indeed retarded 🤔
If you're comfortable with RTL, LNBits connects with your node in pretty much the same way -- it includes built-in extensions to create lnurls
The thing with lnurl is that it requires a webserver. the webserver is meant to provide SSL on clearnet so requests for invoices can be safely transmitted. Lnbits can also be served over a tor proxy but it wont make for accessible lnurls
... relentlessly looking for the perfect combination of electrons to best represent the location of all 21M Bitcoin that everyone can agree on
I use a lightning address, which is a form of lnurl 🤓
If you've never run a node before I recommend getting Bitcoin core to run on a laptop or something. Straightforward and easy, give it as much space as you like.
Depending on your computer it can take a long time to come up to sync (modern hardware hours to days, a week for weak CPUs w/ mechanical hard drive), oftentimes people get frustrated over this time consuming process. To better past the time, take the time to understand what the software is doing while it validates every block. While your computer is learning Bitcoin, so should you 😂
From there I'd try to make transactions from wallets not using your node to a wallet you generated on your own. With Bitcoin core, keys are stored in a .dat file , generating keys and keeping that file safe takes practice 👍once you understand the shortcomings of relying on digital files, you'll understand better the value of seed phrases and why other Bitcoin software was written to help interact with your node in the way that best suits your needs 🤓
Take your time, don't sweat mistakes, happens to everyone
Be sure to hold your own keys and run your own node 🥳
you're not really asleep 🤭
Starting from some versions ago there's auto-updates for containers. Depending how you feel about that, might help decide if you should get to know your current setup better or start another
Doesn't even need to be a person to zap you 🥳
Welcome sir 🥳
