This app does not work. I hear you guys promoting it on podcasts but when people come here and try it and find you can’t even add followers it’s not a good look. If the devs want it to compete with x make sure its basic functions work…. Implement the same features and algos that twitter is using and ppl will come over here if it truely is censorship resistant.

How would Bitcoin handle the transactions of 8 billion people, when it can just do 2,000 every 10 minutes? And this number is declining, because transactions are getting longer and longer. Most transactions break apart bigger spendable transaction outputs and create smaller ones. Soon the Bitcoin network will only be able to handle 1,000 transactions in 10 minutes (1 block).

If Bitcoin is only used as a treasury asset, I will consider it an abject failure.

I still believe it can become the de facto currency of the internet, and then of the world, but success is not guaranteed.

We need to put the work in.

With inflationary money, all the productivity gains that should accrue to the people, bloat the government instead.

The tax treatment of Bitcoin makes it a huge headache to use and that is the whole point why it is being treated this way. If there was less friction more people would probably use it.

My thing why not just say fuck the government, not report that you are spending BTC and just have a huge black/grey market? Mass economic protest? Like why are we allowing governments to dictate what kind of money we use??
