Why 4chan instead of 8chan? Indeed, Reddit also used to be a free speech platform, for the most part.

Also, since they both (allegedly) will comply with US law, it would be nice to have relays in many jurisdiction.

That which is illegal in a country is often legal in another and no one jurisdiction is the most permissive in every area.

i recently started using a small amount of sodium hydroxide in a few hundred ml of water as my washing chemical in my washing machine, and it has been great for leaving absolutely no odor or residue or causing any harm to my clothes

until today, after i washed my bitcoin HODL shirt

it is one of those kind of screen prints with the thick, waterproof layer and a bit of a gloss to it that kinda ages nastly over time

well, it just went full out punk style today, all that paint layer was shredded and now it's just got the faded remnants of the base layer binder on the front of it

now it is properly punk lol

and all the wash had little flecks of orange screen print paint all through it... fortunately it's very windy here so it all gets shaken off quite nicely

next thing i want to do is add whitelisting that also extends to the follows of the follows of designated owner npubs

this requires a little more work because it needs to proactively gather those, so it actually literally will require me to create a little service that makes a query to a whole set of other relays to get them.

i think probably as well as the seed relay addresses i will hard code into it, it needs to also have an additional element where whenever it does get the - what i'm going to call "directory events" - relay lists, in/outboxes, profile metadata - it needs to add them to its list, so i really will need to add

and once it is able to find a load of relevant relays that hold these events, i can then extend this so that this "directory event" category when new events upload, the relay blastrs them out to all of the relays it has on the list

this will be a huge benefit to the network once several instances of realy are being used by several users across fairly distent nodes in the social graph, because clients will no longer struggle to find this metadata

i'm kinda low key a bit excited about getting DMSO with magnesium chloride

in the last couple of weeks i have been finding myself standing at my desk more and more than sitting

the only thing that is making this suck a bit is after i do it for about 3 hours my lower back muscles are creaky

and i know the reason why is that my front abdominal muscles are weak, it can be seen by how much they let my gutrope sack prorude, and the two things are related, though you almost never hear anyone pointing this out

yes, the main cause of lower back pain is frontal abdonminal weakness and the main treatment is situps

so, i'm probably going to be not only coating my feet and hands with this DMSO solution, most likely also gonna give my belly a good bit of treatment as well, so that i get faster recovery from it and make progress, and i'm gonna do the situp test soon and i feel like with something helping my circulation and muscle relax cycle in my hands, feet and abs it will be pretty much easy to finally build back my core and upper body strength to the point where i don't get this creak in my lower back

in the rc shell, arrays of strings in a variable are assigned a positional parameter.

meaning,

var=(thing1 thing2 thing3 thing4)

automatically make:

echo $var(2) possible, with the result being "thing2"

or even:

echo $var(3 1 2) with the result being "thing3" "thing1" "thing2"

and the number of strings in a variable can be found with:

echo $#var
