There's an app 👀 it shows all the cashes (usually a little container with paper to sign your name on) on a map! Most are free, but you can pay to become an advanced member and access the high difficulty cashes or become a hider yourself.
It's an especially great game for people who travel a lot for work or are backpaking, as many stations / airports /highway gas pumps have treasure spots 🤝
