I can see why. The feeling of emptiness and loneliness when you don't have your regular social circle can be difficult to deal with. #nostr is really niche right now.
There are some efforts with things like #plebchain and #grownostr to improve this, ultimately it will take time.
What do we need to happen for Nostr to be moved more into the realm of acceptance by Mainstream people who are on X and Threads?
I like the idea of the overton window, also known as the window of discourse. If looked at under that lens, one could see how Nostr could possibly fall into the realm of the radical and unthinkable.
If this is the case, what could be done or what might happen to make Nostr more accepted?
Is it an implementation at the protocol level?
Will it happen gradually through normalisation?
Are there external factors that need to be in place?
Is this more of a marketing concern?
Would a social unrest or overreaching censorship on other platforms be one of the only ways to change Nostr's perception by the mainstream?

You have been tasked with creating a piece of art with only a single dot that evokes emotion to the viewer.
Explore the depth of emotions through simplicity. Focus on conveying a specific emotion or feeling through the medium of the dot. It could be joy, sadness, fear, love, or any other emotion you wish to evoke.
Rules:
- Only 1 dot must be used
- The dot must be prominent
- Faces are not allowed
- Minimalism is optional
- It must be original artwork created by you
Please provide a brief explanation with your artistic statement. It should be at least 1 word to say what emotion the piece is conveying, feel free to elaborate on anything related to the piece.
In 1 week's time, I will zap 210 sats to the piece that received the most likes up to that point and 210 sats to a piece of my choosing at my own discretion. This reward is purely symbolic and I suggest you vote on the piece you like the most through #zaps of any amount you feel comfortable with to people who have contributed!

this is why I started the #artchallenge series, so that there is more regular stuff for people to latch on to.
I've been wondering what other things I could post that people of different backgrounds would find valuable or interesting. #photography seems to be popular
that's what I'm trying to figure out.
so far it does seem that way and if this is the case, you'd have to listen to the network traffic directly and inspect it which is not am easy feat if it's secured behind tor & ssl, plus then you would also need to piece together that information (which arguably could be automated)
I would be curious myself to see how it's done.
I'm trying to figure out if lightning routing data is publicly available or if only the routing operator has insight into the traces.
I don't know exactly how the lighning transaction is traced into bitcoin but could be worthwhile having a look. maybe I'll be able to figure it out
ok, that would sound reasonably easy to trace since it's only 2 hops 🤔
my guess is you'll use a mixing wallet like samourai or wasabi which will end up being more than 3 transactions
