Some watercolor practice. I would like to make a sky that doesnāt look like tye-dye.
The headlines about the Trump tariffs as showcased on my phoneās Apple News+ is so cartoonish. One will sound super serious, then another one is āBuzzfeedās list of the 22 funniest signs at a Hands Off protestā, then right below it is āElon Musk takes the exact opposite stance and says there should be 0 tariffsā.

oh interesting! I was not expecting such a specific title (that iāve never heard of) š I have no experience with Catholicism
Good morningāØš
Wait another three months and the avocado will be fully ripe by the end of July..š„š„

avocados are soooo good. Itās been hard finding good avocados in stores that will ripen nicely in a brown paper bag
wow! Talk about persistence paying off š
Iām hoping that all the other countries besides the US start to, or continue to expand on what they do with Bitcoin. Since Trump is drawing attention to two things in a really big way - 1) A countryās leader can do/say really bizarre things, and 2) various big problems involving money
So, Bitcoin.
Then if the other countries continue to expand on how Bitcoin is used, itāll continue to be stable / rally, which will benefit everyone no matter which country theyāre in.
Moss + šæ is such a good image š Similarly, āthe memory of a goldfishā never gets old. It always sounds hilarious.
unfinished The Owl House drawings. I just outline parts of it in ink when I feel like it. The first one is from s1e1, when Luz first arrives at the titular Owl House (changed Luz to look more like me), and the 2nd one is from s2, when the kids get to pick their spirit animals (aka palismans).

Omg relationship complexities. Getting through a big conflict with boyfriend ⦠it felt like it was impossible to resolve due to individual complexities. But it actually did get resolved. He calmed down, stopped the pattern of angry defensiveness, and actually listened. We went to the gym for some cardio and resistance training. Leaving the gym, the sun came out, making it feel like a different day.

Thanks for the honest feedback - happy to adjust the title nostr:nprofile1qqsw4v882mfjhq9u63j08kzyhqzqxqc8tgf740p4nxnk9jdv02u37ncpzdmhxue69uhhyetvv9ukzcnvv5hx7un8qy28wumn8ghj7mn0wd68yumpw3mxztnwv46qdmvajt
Which one would you set it to?
An alternative I could see: āLyn Aldenās Whole Broken Money Theory in under 50 minsā
Let me know and Iāll change it accordingly.
lol I wouldāve felt a little embarrassed to share it with the previous title.
I agree, factual title better. The other one was a bit sensational (negative emotions, violence)

hmm I havenāt experienced any spam or explicit content so far ā¦
Just wondering, if you think moderation is important, why are you using Nostr? You mean like, in general, itās important?
yeah probably just doesnāt like the repetitiveness of being at a cash register all day. Aaannnd is also thinking about the various unpleasant news headlines ⦠relating to high cost of living maybe. Thatās how I would feel anyway as a late adolescent working as a cashier.
I think heās admitting that he does this ⦠? But yeah I think itās well known that hierarchical companies, organizations have this ācontrolā aspect to them. And part of that is to make the ālower levelā people feel like there is something wrong with them, like they are not understanding something, like those higher-ups understand something important that you donāt. (Re: toxic āprofessionalā cultures š¤¢)
I was reading an article which discusses the difference(s) between Blue Sky and Nostr. And it seems the main difference is moderation. Blue Sky has moderation, and Nostr doesnāt believe in having any moderators.
This doesnāt seem like such a big deal to me⦠because doesnāt this mean individuals can just use the āmute/block, mute convoā options whenever they feel the need to?

I think often authority figures in hierarchical organizations would have you believe otherwise.
it seems like every rich person eventually gets into beekeeping and harvesting the honey from that ⦠David Beckham⦠Meghan ā¦
ugh yeah ⦠I have not encountered so many males who label themselves as ācarnivoresā on their profile about me until I joined Nostr.
A few years ago, for Earth Day, I learned that farming large animals for meat contributes more to excessive amounts of carbon than āall vehicles combinedā.
Although, probably the main problem is all the restaurants in densely populated areas that keep on pushing meaty and oily dishes to make money.
part 2
I think I have a tendency that when I feel something that doesnāt feel too bad, to wait and see if the body can heal from it on its own. Like with the ophthalmic migraines, and with the little bump under the left eyelid.
I had a whole narrative / rationale for each of these things.
Narrative 1: The ophthalmic migraines are related to being in a toxic work culture during a stressful time, and maybe the fluorescent lights in the room I worked in plus increased screen time led to it ⦠and it just stuck even after Iām not working at that job anymore.
Narrative 2: As for the intermittent irritation in the left corner of my left eye, one time, I peeled back my eyelid and actually saw a tiny bump there. So even though recently, I looked for that bump and didnāt see it there anymore, I was like, well what else could it be? Maybe the bump shifted inward.
So, what I need to remember is that - yes even though there are many things doctors cannot do, there are also a whole range of milder things that doctors have specific tools and treatments for, which can actually fix / resolve things. Like, finding out that the left lens prescription is too high, and seeing the cause of irritation under the eyelid and removing the ādebrisā.
So, if you feel something, even if small, make an appt with an appropriate doctor to check it out.
In that spirit, I will be also making an appointment to check out my left ear, and to get a dental cleaning. And ⦠overcome the fear/anxiety associated with potentially discovering more serious health problems. *sigh*

I was thinking about that phrase āraison dāetreā this morning. Reason for being. Looked up the origin -
āPhilosophically, it connects to existentialist and teleological (purpose-driven) thought. Existentialists like Jean-Paul Sartre argued that humans must define their own raison dāĆŖtre because life has no inherent meaning. In contrast, religious or spiritual views might say that a raison dāĆŖtre is given by a higher power or a natural order.ā
I think both are valid and needed.
the March cover page is about the main experience of March. Going to the eye doctor for the first time since April 2019 (before COVID happened). So itās been ⦠almost 6 years š
The two visits solved two major issues. I feel like quality of life has been majorly improved.
The eye doctor found out that my left lens was overpowered by 2 āstepsā. This was important because my main worry were ophthalmic migraines Iād get once a month, coinciding with my period. It would usually start with an āauraā in the right eye, followed by a migraine on the left side. Then a full day of feeling fatigued and a āmigraine residueā feeling. He said the over-powered left lens could be contributing because then thereās an imbalance? So first I got a basic free pair with the correct prescription (golden frames) which was covered by my health insurance. Then I got some $20 frames from Zenni.com and found a place that could make transition lenses for a lower price (clear purple frames). Transition lenses are amazing. I highly recommend them to anyone over sunglasses. They donāt change the colors much, just adds a slightly cooler hue over everything, while keeping things very even. It also really helps with a sensitivity to light/dark contrasts that is new for me.
The 2nd visit was related to a small irritating bump I was feeling under my left eyelid. I was convinced it was a tiny bump that was growing on the inner eyelid, except it wasnāt. Turns out it was ādebrisā, and he just removed it. And now my left eye feels comfortable all the time.
So these two experiences have taught me something about myself (re: my attitudes towards going to see doctors). But this post is too long and I need a break so, thatāll be part two.
