Does connecting to Tor solve the problem of accessing your node (bitcoin and/or lightning node) outside of the home network?
Hmmm yeah that makes sense. I imagine we could eventually get the value 4 value model running with videos even. The less paid ad shills the better.
D-day 🍆 😖
Mind pasting another invoice? Want to make sure you get it!
Counting as 8/10 because I see it on my end! ⚡️
Paid! ⚡️ 6/10
I accidentally swiped away on my wallet before the transaction completed, can you check to see if you got the 1k or not?
Oh that’s interesting. Mind DMing me the lightning transaction?
Got an inbound capacity issue when I tried with 2 different wallets. Got an invoice from another lightning address I can try?
Hm tried with 2 different lightning wallets and I’m getting an inbound capacity issue for both. Have something else that can generate an invoice?
Made it to 300 followers 😄🤙
To celebrate and as a thank you, I’ll send out 1k sats to the first 10 people that drop a lightning invoice ⚡️
Interesting clip. Definitely far beyond my critical thinking ability at that age.
The upload via client seems like a potentially complicated problem, assuming there’s a need for redundancy. Would be easier I imagine to just upload to just 1 relay directly. Of course that comes with its own drawbacks.
Yeah I wonder how additional features like subtitles, video playback speed, etc would work. The separate index makes sense for better search-ability instead of relying on the relays you’re connected to.
Yup. The UI was nowhere near as nice I’ll say that much 😂 wish I had taken a screenshot!
Wen coinbase
Zeus constantly asks every new screen load even after dismissing it the first time in the session, it’s so annoying lol
Excellent idea. It’d be great for something like Bitwarden to play the role of something like nos2x, Alby, and nostore.
No I only started looking into bitcoin like 3 weeks ago, I'm still uneducated about a lot of things.
Define the value of bitcoin? One bitcoin on KYC platforms like Strike are currently going for ~$23,300 at the time of writing.
Appreciate the examples. I know a few people that would resonate with these so I’ll be sharing them. Sent some sats 🤙 ⚡️
For sure, I plan on spending time on it later today 👍
Agreed! That’s why I have my Alby wallet for now but would much rather be able to fully transact both on chain and lightning directly through my node. Looking forward to the advancements in UX as time goes on for sure 🤙
Awesome just sent you some sats as a thank you! 🤘 any chance you’ve tried sending sats from that node when you’re not on your local Wi-Fi? I had trouble with that as well, maybe this addresses that too!
Funny you ask, because it’s actually in Zeus getting started guide (https://docs.zeusln.app/for-users/getting-started/lightning-node-connect)
That’ll teach me not to read the docs in the future, been struggling with slow initial connection for ages! 🤦
🫣 I’m also guilty as charged. I did get to that page a week or two ago when I was setting it up but didn’t spend time understanding. I just read through it again and realized I totally botched the steps. Thanks! Excited to get it setup properly 🤙
Interesting! Mind sharing where you learned about this? Curious to dig in.
In an abstract sense. There are things I firmly believe in and will not budge for. There are things I believe are my “duty” and/or “obligation” to myself, other people, and society at large.
For example, lying. I refuse to lie to someone unless being honest is a threat to my safety or someone else’s safety.
Another example is to be strong and sharp mentally and physically. That is from a respect I have towards myself and an obligation I have to society to be a functioning and productive member that contributes to a better tomorrow.
Discipline not motivation.
“Tough times don’t last, tough people do.”
A strong understanding and commitment to your core values and principles.
You’ll never know if something that happened ever was a “loss”. Who’s to say what you thought of as a “loss” today didn’t result in what you think of as a “win” tomorrow?
“We cannot live better than in seeking to become better.”
Then why was the SBF spam account just kicked off? Isn’t that spam account an identity in and of itself? Unless it’s because it’s claiming to be someone else thereby implying verification.
Hm I don’t have an answer but I hope there’s a more elegant solution that incentivizes decentralization instead of forcing relay npub caps. That’s a sign the architecture trends towards centralization which isn’t robust.
