That’s pretty wild! I don’t think I’d have the patience lol
Will do!! I’m planning to just clear coat it as it sits. Not gonna sand or paint anything. The floors of the bins are actually the scrap from the doors I cut windows in a few weeks ago, so the bottom side is that off-white paint lol
Well, got some progress reports. Friday was another rain day, so me and Evan did some more work on my front bumper. Got it boxed out, just still need to do the lids, mount the winch, wire everything, and figure out pulling points.
Saturday and Sunday was pretty clear, so we jumped back on the roof for the screened in porch, framed for the skylights and started laying shingles. It’s right at a 4:12 drop so I can’t get on it, it’s just been Evan basically by himself on the roof, he’s been putting in the work. Failed to get any pics of the roof cause it’s been hot and sunny lol.
Also, first thing Saturday morning, my oscillating multi tool took a 15ish foot drop off the ladder, onto concrete on a perfect angle….still works though, but it does get hot quicker. Gonna go ahead and grab the new generation Kobalt multi tool to have on standby for when this one finally does or decides it’s smart to shock me lol

Well…not working on the deck thanks to rain all day and probably until Saturday…now to figure out what the hell to do…
Well, it’s decked and tar papered. Shingles due as soon as we can get back to it.

Thanks! It’s been wild for sure lol
My first is just 18 days shy of a year, and my second is due in September. Neither one was planned lol.
I don’t even know what this was supposed to be lol
Having spent time being homeschooled, in private schools and in a public middle college system for my high school years, I’ve learned that it was a waste of many years and many hours. With my daughters, I plan to unschool as much as Is feasible. I plan to make sure they can read, write and do basic math. Everything else they can figure out when they need or want to with those skills. I may have to bend the knee a bit to North Carolina’s requirements but we’ll see
I’m glad to know I wasn’t the only one lol
That’s why I wear tactical pants, specifically LA Police Gear Atlas pants. The pocket designs and cut of the pants themselves is so far the best I’ve managed to find
I’m going to test out berty messenger if anyone want to play with something privacy oriented.

I roofing is one thing I don’t do much with. I’ve helped my pops as a kid do a few (probably 4 or 6:12), and then I sold roofs for a few months. Tried to get on one to help my pops yet again just a few years ago and got instant vertigo lol. The one I’m currently building for the screened in porch, I’ll have to have one of my buddies actually be on the roof more then likely lol
New stud work scabbed in, put in with screws so it can be removed easily the next time the shower stuff needs to be repaired. Going to leave screws exposed for the panel going over this opening so it’s also easy to remove next time repair work needs to be done. Currently waiting for the Kilz primer to dry that I did on the backside of the panel (to help increase moisture resistance in case of leakage). Added another couple layers to all of the fiberglass patches. Long row to hoe yet.

Well, from building a roof to installing new shower plumbing at my house…wife called me about 330 this afternoon saying the hall closet behind the shower had a water leak. One of the unions on the valve was just pouring out. I forgot to grab before pics but here’s where we stand: new plumbing is installed and functioning. The new hardware was a bit shorter in length than the old so I had to do some fiberglass patching, and there was some pre-existing holes and cracks where a towel rack once was so I figured I’d seal that up correctly too. We also went ahead and moved the shower head higher since we were already there. Probably got another day or more of work to get it right again. Big props to my boy Evan and my buddy/Landlord Paul, we got pretty damn far in 5 hours.
