I finally got my dad’s 7.3 IDI and I’m running it on 25% waste oil, she’s a literal champ.
Only cause I looked reallllllll hard at getting a freeze drier last year, mostly because I wanted to sell the candy at ridiculous profit margins, my wife wanted to freeze dry breast milk as a service and for profit (only one place doing it and they charge an arm and a leg), and my buddy/neighbor was gonna go in on it with us cause he did the math on it vs the prepper food he was buying and saw ridiculous savings. But then we dug a little deeper and realized none of us had the place nor the time at the moment.
Hit eBay. There’s a boatload of freeze dried stuff for sale there, and I think Etsy. That will give you an idea of price per oz that the market has been able to bear so far. I wanna say freeze dried gummy bears are like $4 an oz or better, or at least were last time I looked.
Because we’re old, or at least old souls, and we have to do our best to impart our….wisdom…to the next generation lol

I will say there is also a fine and hard to define line where you can easily not give enough of a shit, and I sometimes think that maybe my life would be a lot easier/better if I had a little more emotion/attachment toward other people.
What a night last night. Worked 6am to 230pm, had to fix a busted water fitting under the house, and had to put the pathfinder battery on the charger, all to be back at work for my 4am shift. Good times lol
