when we can't handle it and shit hits the fan, I don't want to have to turn guns on people. Is it ok to say we don't want a disaster?
Also want the dollar to die and Bitcoin to win but don't want it to happen so rapidly that it causes massive suffering.
Thoughts about border wallets? If someone gets your randomized word list, wouldn't the pattern have low entropy and be guessed quickly?
thinking about SE-less signing devices.

Alternate strategy,
1. Click link
2. Realize it's a news site before it's loaded
3. Panic and hit the back button
4. Put the phone down
5. Open a beer
6. Keep drinking while angry that I can't black list domains from search results.
7. Become upset about the old Internet that we lost
8. Smash my phone in a fit of rage because it's made by Google.
9. Order a new phone from Amazon with overnight delivery.
10. Sleep
11. Return to step 1 but start pissed that I gave Amazon and google more money.
Start with electric circuits (passive components), then electronics (transistors and amplifiers), maybe some digital logic design, then PCB is mostly about figuring out the software.
Art of Electronics was (in my time) the go to for hobbyists and it was very helpful for EE students as well. Seems to still be popular.
I have most of the books in this list. I think practical electronics for inventors was a good beginner one but can't find it so I'm not sure. microelectronic circuits is excellent if you get that far.

A beginner book or two and some online study and you'll have plenty of confidence for PCB designs. You don't need to get too advanced if you just want to design PCBs with microcontrollers. You will have so many reference designs to start from, even if you can't fully analyze a circuit you can probably understand enough to get going.
there was a 5m$ equivalent utxo transferred a few blocks ago with a 2$ fee. on chain is better for this use.
lightning combines many small transactions over time in to a smaller number of larger on chain transactions. it's not great for moving a billion dollars worth unless you want to send it out in small increments.
How does it compare with kicad?
Sure hope people do. I'm always optimistic. But maybe we grow old and die while hoping for that.
It could be used to verify software builds?
Should we be time-stamping Bitcoin core builds?
Is it possible for a human to have their own opinions? Im not convinced that it is possible.
Yo, this all-metal nostr:npub17tyke9lkgxd98ruyeul6wt3pj3s9uxzgp9hxu5tsenjmweue6sqq4y3mgl case from MoneroTime (twitter handle) is sexy af!!
The design lines and the craftsmanship are incredible. And the thinner sandwich build plus the weight of the metal enclosure makes it feel so beautifully substantial and more dense than a typical SeedSigner.
Also a nice endorsement for FOSS. MoneroTime's design interest was mostly (or maybe wholly) motivated by using our hardware as a MoneroSigner -- yup, a fork of SeedSigner for Monero. Our FOSS code attracted more eyeballs and talent and skills to contribute to the mix. Cool.
I want that.
Announcing the latest in open freedom tech, the PadSigner. *

It's capable of constructing and signing Bitcoin transactions. The ultimate cold storage solution. It's hard AF to use so it's only for the most serious freedom maximalists.
Coming soon.
* not actually open
I can make my own mozzarella for the pizza. But I don't know how to design a cow for the milk, or the grass for the cow to eat. Or a sun to feed the grass, or a big bang or whatever tech the sun relies on.
No. Where do you draw the line?
Could you truly say is a transistor is open?
I am interested to explore ideas for more open designs but where do we start? Maybe it's good enough if you can replace parts with alternate manufacturers? Maybe RISC-V is ok?
Damn, my pizza design reilies on a proprietary mozzarella recipe.
How about some fpga based open processor? If a singer existed with that, would it be acceptable? Or does it need to be made from discrete transistors? Or should it be a mechanical computer that you 3d print? Or maybe the build instructions would involve making homemade ICs?
How open does it need to be?
might be fun to build a signing device from 74 series logic gates.
They have abandoned him else we wouldn't have heard about it.
Does that Oliver guy like Bitcoin?
The 1984 stuff does seem to be accelerating. I've got some prepper stuff to work on this weekend. I figure if we get to that, I won't care about Bitcoin or sha256.
As a bitcoin maximalist, I fully support the encryption upgrade fork once it's clear that it's needed.
I guess we are screwed if it happens really quickly and is by some malicious group.
But the upgrade process is unclear to me. Don't old coins need to move? What would happen to lost coins?
Why should anyone be upset about this post?
Anyone know if you can sign messages using nostr:npub1jg552aulj07skd6e7y2hu0vl5g8nl5jvfw8jhn6jpjk0vjd0waksvl6n8n Green and/or Jade.
jade at least can sign messages
A lot of women think more about what a man should or should not be thinking rather than focusing on themselves and their own problems.
It definitely helps. It makes your pan like a non stick pan if you get it right. Do several passes through the oven with very thin layers of fresh oil.
Seed oils are the normal recommendation. I'm not sure it matters in this case. I think the main thing is if your seasoning starts to chip into the food, strip it and start over.
Seems like avocado doesn't polymerize as easily. Maybe smoke point to high? I suspect I failed with my last seasoning due to that. I've had good results with olive oil.
I sort of question the whole thing. Isn't seasoning just a type of plastic?
Home heating is the way. I think one or two s19pros will heat my entire house if I get them tied into central heating system.
A miner is an expensive heater though. Its a gamble to buy new units. Just keep it small, don't spend too much and think of it as a kyc free rewards program for electricity.
Currently, I have old units for space heaters and those seem worth it.
Isn't this also good like if your immediate family want to use lightning without setting up multiple nodes? I would like this and to add guardians from friends so their families can also use the node.
So then it would just be a cultural attitude. But I'm thinking that wouldn't stick and the debates continue.
