Right when you take the eggs out of the boiling water, dunk them in ice water for at least 10 seconds.
Shell peels off a lot easier.
Testing out Cunningham’s Law?
You mentioned some of the thing you are feeding, do you also offer conventional feed? Either store bought or whole?
We use something similar to the Salatin mix which I think is 3-corn, 2-soy, 1-oat. Obviously corn and soy can be replaced by similar nutrient/protein mixes.
When ours have a feed mix available we can more easily see what they are eating more of i.e. what they are deficient in.
How old are the chickens?
Are they a different breed than you had previously?
We have had some that have been selective on their feed choices for periods of time. If they are deficient in protein as they are putting on weight or getting ready to lay eggs, their diet might change.
I would be curious if it lasts more than a season or perhaps if it is breed-specific.
Maybe we should pass a law to make crime illegal.

Nice work. Interested in hearing how the silicon holds up over time.
Menards has a kit for ~$20 I have used and they hold up well. Allows installation without cutting off the top. The rubber gasket is the part I can’t easily make myself.

Yes, check to verify you both are connected to at least one of the same relays.
Zone 6 here, but also on the homestead journey.
From this picture I think I am realizing the answer to my other question.
The metal allows the bolt to stay in a set location and the wheel has enough play side to side to pop onto the bolt head when the tractor is lifted.
Why the need for the metal plate?
I recognize the use for the pivot bolt and positioning of the wheel.
But to achieve the locked down position, could you not also drill a hole through the 2x4 arm as well as the frame and put a bolt through to lock them in sync?
We use the bolt method for our milking stanchion and I am wondering if we can improve with the metal plate.
We have been looking at the same type of idea for our tractors.
The broiler tractor I can move easily enough.
But the laying tractor is too heavy to move easily with the extra weight of the laying boxes.
I like this idea and using a bolt to wedge in to keep it propped up will be great.

Nostriches, anyone have a fact check on this?
The Jason Jones Show has some excellent content. Don’t see them mentioned here.
Happy Easter.
