Wow, looks amazing

🚨 Truly remarkable: „15 to 20 Billion“ worth of Bitcoin is only 135-165k BTC, much less than the 200k in circulation so far. AND the US is not planning to buy Bitcoin, budget neutral or not.

Two dissapointments within 20 seconds…no wonder Bitcoin is tanking.

What I really liked nostr:npub1rtlqca8r6auyaw5n5h3l5422dm4sry5dzfee4696fqe8s6qgudks7djtfs is two points:

First is the thruth about having enough but needing a purpose and something to do. That’s a good way of life. Knowing what is enough for you but not sitting around each day eating donuts, like Bodine once put it.

Second thing I liked is that stoic mindset: You always have a choice and you should not blame others.

Stay humble, stack sats. And know what is your way, you goal, your purpose.

Very good initiative!

Good Episode! Liked his contrarian views on certain things and his experience, which is huge.

We’re building a freedom tech tool for normal people. It’s a really difficult line to walk. Open and free enough for privacy cypherpunks while approachable and comfortable to the normal user who needs better privacy but doesn’t actively seek it out.

I often catch criticism and hate because nostr:nprofile1qqs8msutuusu385l6wpdzf2473d2zlh750yfayfseqwryr6mfazqvmgpz9mhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejj7qgewaehxw309ac8yetdd96k6tnswf5k6ctv9ehx2ap0k644fs doesn’t have this “obvious” auth feature or that “must have” payment method. As if we don’t know about it or are so blind to its necessity.

We make project decisions that will enable us to bring private, confidential AI to a billion users. That’s us. That’s nostr:nprofile1qqs8msutuusu385l6wpdzf2473d2zlh750yfayfseqwryr6mfazqvmgpz9mhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejj7qgewaehxw309ac8yetdd96k6tnswf5k6ctv9ehx2ap0k644fs.

That is not going to look the same as your typical open-source AI project on github (even though Maple is). It takes the form of a fast, highly efficient tool that solves encryption for the user so they can focus on their task at hand knowing their privacy is protected.

We have to be at least as usable as ChatGPT if we want to beat them.

If that’s not the private AI experience you want, good news. There are other great options for you that come with their own set of tradeoffs.

If you want to use the private AI that is building for individuals and Fortune 500 companies, Maple is here for you. Grab a free account.

There is so much more to come, you’ve only seen the beginning.

As you describe it it‘s the right approach! Usability first or you won’t get the early majority.

Thanks, thought so. 😅

✈️ Nomad diaries, note #2121

🗺️ 3 months, 6 countries, countless train rides — and a backpack full of lessons:

☑️ Books are heavy. Audible is fun.

☑️ Jeans weigh more than you think.

☑️ More undies (Aussie for underwear) = less stress over laundry.

☑️ Hair strainer is more effective than hair dryer - which exists in any hotel/airbnb.

☑️ You can buy whatever you need wherever you get to, so don’t stress about packing “everything I need”.

☑️ One pair of good walking shoes beats three “cute but blistery” pairs.

☑️ I’m a soft mattress kind of girl, 2 pillows minimum, 3 ideally.

☑️ Switzerland doesn’t have mosquitos so you can sleep with open windows

☑️ Google Maps’ “10 min walk” = 20 with luggage and cobblestones.

☑️ If the hotel says “city view,” it might mean “view of the neighboring building”

☑️ Traveling in the EU? Drop flights & annoying airports. Trains are more fun.

☑️ No ID/passport check on a train, no luggage weight limit.

☑️ Traveling with bitcoin is amazing.

☑️ Cities and merchants that accept bitcoin are more fun, and smarter.

☑️ Lightning payments works faster than most card machines (except in Lugano 😅)

☑️ “Do you take bitcoin?” is my new icebreaker in any language.

☑️ Bitcoin meetups abroad double as instant friendship machines.

☑️ Dual citizenship rocks.

💡What’s your best tip for travelling?

🛫 Looking forward to exploring 6 more countries in the next 3 months!

Very good lessons, Efrat! Thanks for sharing. Some funny ones as well, like the Google Maps one. 😅

Was there any? Just asking for a friend

That’s something to think about…

My target for 500k is a bit later. ~2029 Wouldn’t mind 2027 though.
