When twitter acts independently on reports of hate-speech against their TOS, that's curation/moderation.

The difference is that the government can then go to Facebook and do the same, whereas twitter's jurisdiction is limited to their own platform.

I have a conspiracy theory regarding diversification.

The government doesn't want people to get rich so they don't challenge their power.

If they tell people that the "safest" thing is to diversify, essentially everyone is getting a CAGR that is : monetary inflation + economic growth of the nation. So .... not much.

If people start making concentrated bets, most people lose, but a few rise to the top, and then gov needs to contend with an ever changing guard of powerful plebs. Which.is a nightmare for them because they can't establish relationships to get corruption going.

Considering anyone can run a relay in Nostr, it's pretty much impossible to have a "consumable". The encrypted message has to be assumed to live on the internet forever.

Best Nostr can do is try to obfuscate sender and receiver from the relays.

Individual protestors could have a badge signed by an organiser to prove that they could be a legitimate target for donations. Moreover, the organiser could also set donation amounts on the badge to limit abuse.

More importantly, the organiser signer could and should stay anonymous.
