Linux is easy enough, you can install it side by side to Windows until you feel you can completely make the switch!
I have used Mint and Ubuntu, both very good options for beginners.
Libre Office, Browser, E-Mail are mostly all I need, so no need for Windows at all.
Just play around with it, totally worth it!

However, what would happen if all the world lived happily and peacefully sending sats to and fro, and suddenly one entity "reinvented" #fiatmoney and attacked someone else. Wouldn't the defender be helpless against the unfair (in this case) advantage of the #fiatsystem? Maybe this alone will stand in the way of a global bitcoin standard developing, because it could #makedefenseunaffordable?

Da brauchst du nicht extra einen neuen Laptop kaufen, einfach mal Linux Mint oder ähnliches auf einem alten Rechner oder virtueller Maschine installieren und ein wenig Rum probieren. Ich habe es als Dual Boot auf meinem Desktop neben Win10 und bin inzwischen fast komplett umgestiegen. Windows starte ich nur noch für ganz wenige Anwendungen, für die ich auf Linux keine gescheite Alternative gefunden habe, die mir gefällt.
