transversal? i thought i heard of everything, but what's that?!
Scotch-Irish?! He’s a Drumpf. Germanic immigrants who Anglicized their name. Everything about him is a fraud. https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/donald-drumpf/
hah, it's a big tent. we'll welcome him in as long as he's not too much of a smart-ass
the Italians get all the sexy mafia bad guys, just let us have our one scotch-irish bad boy hero fleece us even if the rest of the world thinks he's a doofus...
cheap and cheesy is exactly how 5 cent reduction on a price like $0.95 makes me feel.
there's part of me that's like "but he got shot at". clearly some element of the blob is not happy with him. what if he puts a stick in the spokes of whatever machine he's involved in. or at least he will be such a circus that TPTB will ignore us.
or maybe it's Wall street banks + Trump + red silicon valley against government bureaucrats +KH + blue Silicon valley.
either way we'll have more tech surveillance. but you choose which way there will be more comedy!
Does it make sense that the US Fed is trying to squeeze the capital out of Europe? I suppose that the ECB and US Fed are competing at a certain level, although maybe they don't want to take it to the point of wrecking anything major?
i've never heard about Go before so I will have to look it up. If it's anything like the game, it should be really hard to learn.
you have a refreshing take on Javascript. I did a "Free code camp" course that uses javascript. I do not care for it much compared to PL/SQL that I see on the daily.
yeah, thank you for noticing. oracle pl/sql. i mostly run SQL queries, not much programming, in the field of OLTP "Online Transaction Processing".
i took the Oracle exam 3 times and failed, even though i could pass the written practice tests in a workbook no problem. there is something about this format of multiple choice in an online test like this that is soooo confusing;
I. answer 1
II. answer 2
III. answer 3
A. I & II
B. II & III
c. I
thanks friend, one of these days I'm going to crack open the NIP 1 and try to learn how this all works.
these little code tidbits that you devs posts are always beckoning "come learn something new"
hah, i'm noting that I may have a touch of the syndrome. even though I never voted for the dude!
yes, the sneakers and the Bible are all part of a mastermind scheme to make him look like a fool... ;-)
$59.95? i dislike the $9.95. it feels so cheap. why can't it just be $60.
especially when food has $0.99, I feel like, are they cutting corners with my food?
I love dimsum! I'll be the fluffy white ones with BBQ pork
yah, i'm just yakking, hoping something original will come out.
One Nostr-related thing I'm wondering about is, when replying to these Notes, i can "x" the people who aren't in the conversation, and I wonder if that really prevents them from being notified. There are some threads on here, where I'm trying to just reply to the one person, and I don't want to notify a whole thread of 30 people.
I've tried to remove the other NPUBs from reply, but when replying a 2nd time, i see all the people I deleted from notifications are back.
I once accidentally spammed the entire NY city hiking meetup list serve with a question about the upcoming hike, so trying to prevent that from happening again.
As a test, I'm removing everyone from these notifications.
im not a chemist so i have to believe you, and that's really awesome.
"it's more error than malice"
someone I know is constantly complaining about the stupid power struggles in goverment. to the point of big bosses making underlings who threaten their position do stupid stuff.
These are the guys that are supposed to be taking over the world, and they think that they are flexing by having an underling attend a meeting on a Monday, or submit itemized receipts for a business trip instead of just giving them a daily amount.
I had a "hard faced" boss once who made me cry so many times. I had to be at work before she got there, and she would come around to my cube and pick apart the last email I sent or my latest failures. She was like Ellen Degeneres version of Miranda Priestly from Devil wears Prada.
She actually did me a huge favor. 1 year of Liz's bootcamp trained me for the world. I left on good term. mutal respect.
if one was a Democrat lawmaker, there is a motive for letting this scam run as long as possible, let DJT rug middle America, before fining DJT. Collateral damage to Bitcoin.
Hopefully people are smart and DTOR. it could be a great funnel for middle America to discover bitcoin.
i like how you are thinking about this. I was fired once from a company that had mostly married guys with kids. The manager vaguely mentioned this to me. It's probably "discrimination" under some sort of law, but I like your framing better.
He can see that I didn't fit in and didn't enjoy working there, and it's not "because" of anything, it was just not a good fit!
getting fired however never feels good so, it's just hard to manage. I thought I was cool and could fit in with an office full of married straight men with kids!
with what your suggesting, does the UTXO have to be dedicated for the Nostr identity or can it just be a stache of bitcoin that is used for other stuff?
and will the client be able to see the size of the UTXO, and allow users to see the size of the UTXO, or is all that cryptographically hidden somehow.
at least the grift is visible. people got a photo with the guy for it.
the other side just throws lavish parties and all you get is a photo of one of them wearing "Eat the Rich".
i don't like being eaten.
as a nostr wine/filter customer it did speed up Amethyst to near instant, and Coracle to pretty fast. Primal is still really slow, but maybe that because it has other filters in there.
i just downloaded NOstrudel yesterday and it also seems fast. but i makes me hungry for pastries everytime i click on it so, i'm back to Amethyst
i have a theory that right before these massive jumps up, everyday people sense that something is wrong and tend to hoard cash, what they feel is the safest thing. so scarce assets like bitcoin can temporarily look cheap until they don't.
