The "intrinsic value" question was my personal #Bitcoin Rubicon that stopped me for so long as a recovering gold bug. The Socratic Method helped me.

The question I asked myself was "does the TCP/IP protocol have "intrinsic value"? And by extention, does the internet itself have "intrinsic value"? My answer was definitively yes, but it was not necessarily tangible. I wrestled with this for awhile...The Bitcoin protocol is the same, but it has a price attached.

I bought in size the next day and haven't stopped.

I should have just listened to more episodes of Bitcoin Audible...it may have saved me time, but not the proof of work!

Bitcoin will probably continue to appreciate in value. My primary concerns for the future are

1. Insane taxes, including unrealised gains

2. Blacklisting of non-kyc wallets, including the threat of criminal charges if you use one or accept payments from one.

3. Arbitrary list of wallets that, if you ever trade with them, you are guilty by association.

Therefore value of fiat, Bitcoin and Monero is also within us. Which means maximalism is an illogical concept.

By the way you can see in people if they carry fiat in their hearts. They lack life force.

Is it a thing of pride on nostr for the cool kids not to follow too many accounts, to show how exclusive they are? Isn't that legacy social media bullshit?

Bitcoin for saving, Monero for spending, lightning on the side if I really want to actually spend bitcoin, which I avoid in general, preferring to spend Monero first unless it's a very specific situation.
