But do you not agree that poorly managed nodes falling off the network due to economic stress (associated costs) essentially = a more efficient network? The protocol itself functions as intended, but as LN usage increases over time nodes will have to better manage costs, liquidly & infrastructure. Game theory auto-optimizes for efficiency on the network because poorly run nodes (eventually) can not continue to afford to remain part of it.

I just had a comment removed from instagram for violating their community standards. Apparently they think I’m spamming for mentioning Unicode I guess. Honestly I’m not sure. It was in response to a instagram rule asking why the kiwi bird isn’t an emoji.

I posted it once, and to a instagram post from someone I’m following. I don’t think I’ve made a comment about Unicode or emojis on instagram before.

Don’t see the inherent problem with this narrative. As BTC price rises, many smaller inefficient nodes have shut down. They were likely unprofitable and their liquidity was not well allocated. Lightning is becoming more efficient since as it becomes more expensive to deploy capital there, the capital that remains will be sought to be used in a more efficienct manner.

Granted I think there are parallel, connections, and avenues for broader and/or mutual illumination and insight between Bitcoin and religion (as well as math and all of the science), being that these are deeply felt human pursuits towards truth and understanding.

I get where you're coming from, I've also felt this way about a lot of topics but I think he has honest intentions with his video. Like I've also wondered if before the last 100-200 years we spent most of our lives outdoors, why is sun exposure only now a concern? Especially considering that they didn't have sunscreen before. I'm not saying let's just never wear sunscreen and stare into the sun but I think this topic is worthy of some healthy skepticism.

I want to learn how to work and contribute to this environment, and freedom tech in general, but the chasm is wide, and I haven't found a lot of resources to learn. I'm a lawyer with an economics background, I've owned crypto for over 10 years, I know light programming and web development. I've read books on tokenomics and DeFi....but getting to the point where I'm building lightning apps and other things that the Madeira crowd is doing...I don't know how to get to that point, and I haven't found many resources that try to teach beyond the basics of blockchain/basic languages/etc. I have the time, resources, and desire. But getting to the next step...I don't know where it is.
