Just watched Requiem for a dream (2000), directed by Darren Aronofsky. His second movie. It’s about a group of friends in New York who are battling addiction. Must be at least the fifth time I’ve seen it. Excellent movie. Very heavy subject matter. The director found a way to make it look beautiful. The photography is amazing. Definitely not a feel good movie. 9/10 #nodereviews

My theory is that the current brain rot of society is coming from the 24/7 news cycle. It’s like a self-feeding, self-defeating, super-tardstr machine that just devours itself from within.

Solution: turn off the news cycle, stop feeling like shit, stop being afraid, stop acting irrationally.

Holy shitballs that is absolutely insane! This has to be the craziest thing to come out of the conference this year. I don’t think people will get how big of a deal this is.

Things are about to change big time. This is fucking nuts.

It feels like Bitcoin has finally crossed the Rubicon into the mainstream both a triumph and a tragedy.

Walking around the conference this year, you could easily mistake it for a fintech summit or SaaS expo in Vegas. Same blazers, same VC pitch decks, same awkward networking energy. The suitcoiners outnumber the cypherpunks by 100:1.

On one hand, this is what we fought for: global legitimacy, serious capital, institutional attention.

On the other, something’s been lost in translation. The raw edge, the revolutionary energy, the sense that we were building something against the system not polishing it up to sell it back to the system.

Bitcoin doesn’t feel quite as dangerous anymore.

It feels… professional. Predictable. “Respectable,” even.

Maybe that’s just the mask Bitcoin wears while it continues hollowing out the old world from within.

Either way, the vibe has shifted.

kids born today will no longer interact with fiat currency, they will only use bitcoin for payments, savings and investments.
