Former D1 wrestler helping grapplers build strength, health & resilience โ€” on and off the mat.

Next jiujitsu match is in a cage December 14th. Really enjoying super "fights" vs tournaments

What lightning wallets are people using for zaps in the US?

Had a jiujitsu match last Saturday and went against my tallest opponent ever.

He's 6'5!

I'm the opposite of that...5'6.

We're both somehow 170lbs.

Who wins in a match?

Last weekend I competed at my first ADCC Open in the advanced division.

I went 2-2 and took 4th place.

I learned A LOT. Mainly that I need to focus on leg lock escapes.

Once I have that down, my wrestling should take care of the rest.

For anyone interested, my matches are up on youtube!

Thank you! Funny part is that we actually built a quarter of it, took it down because it sucked, and then rebuilt what you see in the pic. Learned A LOT lol

My father-in-law came by over the weekend to help me build a fence in our backyard.

I got a quote to have it done for $7500.

Doing it ourselves is less than $2000.

I'm no handyman, but after this project I feel like I can do anything.

Learning how to use all the tools necessary has been invaluable.

I'm a software engineer, but each day I find myself wanting to leave it and do something that keeps me healthy and active.

I'm grateful for my father-in-law taking the time to guide me through it. The lessons are numerous.

The fence is almost done and I look forward to trying my hand at more jobs before calling a contractor.

It's kinda funny how proud I am of this fence lol. Proof of work will do that I guess.

ATTENTION WRESTLING ENTHUSIASTS...

This match from yesterday does an excellent job showing

- how to handfight and use fakes to get to leg attacks

- how to clear ties when you don't want your opponent grabbing you

- how to use your head, hands, and hips so your opponent can't get to your legs

Jordan Burroughs is an absolute beast and made the world team yesterday at 36 yrs old (unheard of)

Such a great match to see wrestling fundamentals in action. There is zero fancy stuff here and these are two of the best guys in the world

Quick way to get your cardio up

- 15 minutes total on the assault bike

- 15 seconds as hard as you can

- 15 seconds at a slow pace

Back and forth until you've hit 15 minutes.

It's not easy, but you'll feel like a warrior after

Boom! Thank you. Local prices are always so much better haha

Ill try adding some collagen to my milk tn. Can't believe I havent considered ground cacao in milk either lol. Any online brands you recommend?

I usually add it to my raw milk, but haven't even thought of trying that. I know what I'm adding to my next ground beef bowl :)

Not annoying at all. I'm a big fan of trying new workouts. I have one for ya.

10 minutes of jumping rope with burpees.

You do a burpee every time you mess up. The catch is that you add one additional burpee each time.

One mistake = one burpee

Next mistake = two burpees

Next mistake = three burpees

All the way up to ten (do ten twice) and back down.

No mistakes = no burpees

Nothing keeps me more satisfied throughout the day than a ground beef bowl and raw milk
