If I thought it was a conspiracy, that would mean I think people are colluding to do something.

Bet the farm. Then you’ll either take him to the cleaners or inspire him for a lifetime. It’s win win.

This #asknostr won’t be for everyone.

It’s targted to the super geeks out there!

In particular any #Cybersecurity #cypherpunk #Cryptography experts.

(For context I’m a former IT Director so I’m not completely ignorant, just I excelled at leading at people and teams while being able to get my hands dirty enough to implement vision coming down from the C-Suite at 30k feet.)

#asknostr

I recall reading research on Quantum Computing almost 20 years ago. And if I was reading it then, we know it was in development prior to that.

Recently I saw a brief documentary on IBM’s Quantum 2 computer (R&D Lab).

One of the things mentioned is it’s potential (not yet realized but expected by 2035) ability to decrypt in seconds due to the super position state of Qubits.

As such, this has a real conflict with #privacy and even potential impacts for #bitcoin #btc and other #proofofwork (for example $KAS #KAS #KASPA comes to mind with its algo prepped for Optical Computing… and perhaps Monero and another #pow )

But even #nostr can be impacted.

My question:

1. Is there any future proof, Quantum Computing resistant encryption out there or in development?

2. If in the #future Qubits can hold a super position long enough to decrypt, how might we combat that?

(I guess that’s the same question as Q1…but in my mind we have to re-envision the #math …the approach to #encryption once optical computing is mainstream and especially controlled by nation states which is what it is at this point as most “world leaders” view it as a strategic national #security imperative which is why they are heavily researching it)

My point being, I’m interested in this conversation and perhaps some of you experts in this field can point me to where that convo is occurring.

Encryption and hashing are two different things. Lots of hashing is quantum resistant. Ever wonder why bitcoin public keys are hashed into addresses?

I sold bitcoin to buy my wife’s minivan in 2017. Had I not done so, I could have gotten 3 CT for free. So this time I took out a loan.

Hope CT stays low maintenance. So far, so good. FSD this morning was surprisingly good. I’m kinda shocked. I’m experimenting with what uses less energy to keep the Oven from drying: overheat protection with windows vented or closed.

I would say I’m upgrading from a 2008 Kia Sedona…but CT is not quite as capable as my Sedona, so it’s not exactly an upgrade. I put a 12 foot ladder in that minivan and closed the hatch. Tesla forgot to put a window you can open between the passenger compartment and bed. The Sedona had seating for 7; CT does 5. I could go over 300 miles in the minivan. 200 is reasonable worry free max for most CT drives, assuming elevation difference isn’t huge.

The CT tows. Sedona does not. CT can handle a heavy load in the bed. Sedona does not. CT can power a small construction site. Sedona does not.

CT can park itself as of a few days ago. And as of 5 minutes ago, my CT supposedly can drive itself now. Sedona does not.

I honestly think CT is over priced and a PITA to own. But as I’m bitcoin rich and took out a dollar denominated loan to buy the CT, I can overlook CT shortcomings…it’s not like I’m actually paying for CT.

Kinda. More like bitcoin in 2009-2010. Back then, bitcoin was a good idea but kinda shitty code, filled with things that didn’t work, couldn’t work, didn’t fit, or were out of scope (like the marketplace originally partially coded for bitcoin).

But the 0-60 is pretty outstanding. I smile every day on account of that.

My CyberOven got so hot today, the center console insert slightly melted and doesn’t stay in right anymore. Lesson learned: sun screen for the roof, dashboard sun shield and opens windows are not enough to keep the cheap plastic decor safe.

I spend more energy on AC for my CyberTruck than I do driving it. I see why they have overheat protection mode now.

Tim Pool called it right about recession (paraphrasing):

“Look…they’re closing Hooters. They sell #wings and #boobs. If you can’t sell wings and boobs, the economy is in recession.”

Fact check: true✅

That is an anatomically confusing cut.

Thx man. I see far worse every other month…it’s good to keep in the back of your mind that you and/or your entire family could be gone in a moment.

Oh, and keep them keys safe too!

Thankful today. My wife and girls got hit in the car, but only enough to render the car undrivable, not enough to truly harm anyone. Girls are a bit shaken, but not stirred, so to speak.

Daily reminder that things are nothing compared to people.

Wow. As is bitcoin vol wasn’t enough! Increase vol and add counter party risk and fees…clown world.

Ouch! That said, this looks like a healthy tooth. One can live without teeth but there’s something here worth saving.

Generally the problem is the other way around…throwing good money after bad so to speak.
