I believe OP said that it was pretty low noise. It basically comes down to how low you clock/tune it and what fans you use. I see he uses Noctua fans which is really silent.

It was a Monday afternoon and it appears that word has gotten out based on the size of the crowd in the small parking lot. Suddenly, Dave Grohl appears in front of us, he recognized John who was previously Kurt's roommate before moving in with me. John was also in the band Machine, that opened for Nirvana at their last Tacoma gig the year before (pre Dave). Dave says to John, sounding slightly stressed, "I can't find my hi-hat stand since we got back from Europe." I interrupt "My rehearsal space is just a mile away, let's go." We jump in my recently acquired dumpy 4 door Buick. I start to rattle my story about how my nice '81 two door Buick Regal was recently stolen - jacked for my stereo and sweet Cragar SST wheels - so now I drive this jalopy to avoid the thieves. In truth, I didn't mention the saddest part, the irreplaceable box of bootleg cassettes in the trunk, including a tape of Nirvana live in Chicago, a Nevermind demo w/Dale Crover(?), and some wicked live Melvin's recording. ... Anyway! We drive to the rehearsal space on Wallingford street - the old Jester's of Chaos house - across the street from where Earth practiced. KC, my drummer, was home and we told him the missing hi-hat stand situation and proceed downstairs. Another roommate was fuk'n around on KC's drums and KC just pulls the hi-hat stand directly out from under him - Dave gasped! If I remember right (I'd love to hear John or Dave's memory of all this), he actually put his hands on his cheeks - flabbergasted that we did this cruel act. We swiftly get back in the car and head back to the record store. This record store thing was intended to be an autograph signing for the single release of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" but that would be lame, so they intended to play a surprise set. On the way back Dave is still somewhat distraught about the basement rugging - We were like "He's just screwing around, you have a gig, man!" trying to make him feel better. All that shit you may have heard about Dave being a nice guy 'n all? Well, from my experience, it's 100% true. At some point, I ask Dave if it's OK to record their set, he says yes. I grab my trusty Panasonic PV120 full size VHS camcorder out of the trunk and proceeded to record a small piece of history, just four feet away from Nirvana, right on the floor of Beehive Records. My 7th and last time ever seeing them live. It was September 16th 1991, Seattle WA. I only ever made 1 VHS copy for John and that is what you see online. Look up "Nirvana Beehive" if interested. I never made a single copy again out of fear of Courtney Hole's lawyers. 😅 Eventually, I made a digital transfer for a small clip that ended up on Montage of Heck - I think - I still haven't seen it yet. ... Back to Beehive, their set ripped. One week later Nevermind would be released and just two weeks later "Smells Like Teen Spirit" would hit MTV for the first time. Then things changed.

I've been thinking about it a while but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Like tou im just running it pretty innefficiently and having my miners sitting naked on a shelf.

I'm thinking to 3d print a stand so the miner can sit vertical. Then print a round duct adapter and cut a hole in my return duct.

If I pipe that straight up to my return duct, not sure if there is enough pressure to push the air all the way up? Maybe need another larger inline fan?

I've got a handful of miners to potentially hook up so thinking to make a box and set several miners in there... then pipe that box to the duct... analysis paralysis is real!

Has anyone done a cost comparison of heating their whole house with asics vs central heat (or whatever other traditional whole home heating you have) ?
