ODell: "Wiz, why does nobody use liquid?"
Wiz: "Because the mempool's empty."

And I think reality will retrain people. If the fiat printing stops, economic calculation can better reflect reality and people will return to actually understanding value
Yes, and fiat printing incentivizes these kinds of things. The transition from fiat to hard money can't be both smooth and immediate because everyone has been trained to live the fiat casino life. Changing those deeply embedded psychological tendencies takes time and/or a collapse of the entire fiat casino system.
Is this an all-time high for BTC fees?
You made a claim about the block size debate. A quite bizarre claim. Nonsense data was a very important part of the block size debate. Why do you say otherwise?
Of all the problems you listed, the fact that merchants don't use it seems to be the most important, and that can be addressed. Let's get more merchants using it!
And it's not just merchants but also peer-to-peer exchange: not enough people use it. So let's start using it.

I would love to hear a Citadel Dispatch episode on the Liquid network. I think it could be a good alternative in a high fee environment. In particular I'm curious to hear what Wiz thinks about the usefulness of Liquid these days.
Ok so my idea is a peer-to-peer electronic cash system. First thing is we need a solution to the Byzantine Generals Problem... This is kind of hard to explain, but I'm working on a paper. Hoping to have it done by Halloween.
"Approximately 0% of us were referring to the blockchain being filled up with nonsense"
Wat?
What planet were you on?
Pointless public bitching and moaning
Time for Bitcoiners to take another look at the Liquid network
That last part really takes me back.
The other day I saw a kid blasting down a huge hill on an electric bike. Back in my day, if you wanted to haul ass like that, you had to pedal. AND you had to walk or pedal the bike back to the top if you wanted to do it again.
I can't understand this poll without understanding the follow lists feature.
But I do agree with nostr:npub13700uhjmtvfl49n4drcr0qg7rk863m8rzqdgceddpfwh2ejlumdqn6375k. Follower counts are valuable.
