The biggest psy-op is how hard it is to type “psy-op” on an iPhone

What if morality is nothing but a pay-op?

What if all there is to “morality” is giving your word and keeping it? And using how well your life works to measure whether you’re really someone who keep their word?

What if we knew this a long time ago but the rewards to lying were so great that they couldn’t be overcome?

What if it was humanity’s time preference that rewarded lying so much that we had to invent other coercive ideas to deter us from our time preference?

What if we just needed a perfect store of value that conferred truth in the physical world to lower our time preference and transcend the morality psy-op?

What if Bitcoin refocuses humanity on keeping our word and laser focuses is on that instead of an archaic idea of morality that was just a story to manipulate into collective behavior that just wasn’t possible before Bitcoin?

Yes - that’s a perfect continuation of the analogy. We should still buy Bitcoin if we can - but we should understand that it messes with our mind if we sidestepped all the work so easily.

Being able to buy Bitcoin with Fiat is like orgasming with porno

I don't believe we shall ever have a good V4V platform again before we take the thing out of the hands of Apple, that is, we can't take it violently out of the hands of App Store gatekeepers, all we can do is by some sly roundabout way introduce something that they can't stop.

The idea the all of Blackrocks assets will flow into Bitcoin is so fucking moronic it makes me wonder sometimes who these guys are really catering to. nostr:note1a2jk27kkpnzggh6t5y5eydgrfj0en0wn0uh6m2twg4gpjjk2eejqq5segv

I see he’s using the singular. #[1] views Satoshi Nakamoto as 1 person and is expressing that view by using the plural of Satoshi as satoshi.

I need help.

Alice sends Bob 1 million satoshi.

Bob sends carol 1 million satoshis

This is repeated over again in the BOLTs, and in “Mastering the Lightning Network”

My guess is that people who see Satoshi as 1 person use satoshi and people who see Satoshi as many ppl use satoshis.

Satoshis or satoshi? What’s the plural?

I love that there’s no definitive answer just like we don’t know of Satoshi was more than one person or not.

The grammar literally matches our understanding of the word - THAT IS REDIC!!

Nostr as a Layer 2 for Lightning-like channels for P2P communication

2 peers open a channel with each other - funded with an amount of satoshis at around the dust limit and signed with their npubs.

They communicate information to each other the way Lightning partners would send Onion packets.

It’s completely encrypted and nobody can ever see the information in the packets - only that a channel is established.

Sign me up as someone who has high conviction on non-native EMFs being biologically damaging. I explained some lay-science in an earlier pod episode but really the denial of this assertion isn’t based in science any more than the vax deniers.

This is a long conversation- not gonna be won on Twitter or here. My time preference for it is low for people I know and want to discuss it in good faith.

But at the heart of it all is a reflex to invalidate the messenger, as though that’s some superseding move of the scientific method

Presumably we’re connected here to a freedom movement - that requires that people be allowed to choose their affairs for themselves.

The attitude that people are too dumb to manage their own lives is not coherent with freedom. It could be true but if I believed that I wouldn’t be here - I’d be at war defending my blue check.

I’d check out “The Real Anthony Fauci”.

It’s a book - not a tweet. It’s a long book with a lot of references that most internet warriors won’t take the time to read.

There are factual assertions that are supported by footnotes - one can judge for themselves how much they wish to validate these assertions.

There are also biased opinions that one can judge a man like RFK’s vantage point.

Follow nobody. Read them all.

But you can’t because the literature is already heavily censored - has been since the Flexner report in 1921 but has gotten exponentially worse since 1971 -

Only to be counterbalanced by the internet, which lead to new forms of censorship. Understanding this is crucial for this debate.

Following “experts” will get you dead and broke with a lot of friend and family support
