Disagreeable. Prove me wrong.

Really liking satellite.earth as a mobile pwa. There's a few things I would like to see improved or added, but overall it is growing on me.

It's a different way to view my feed, manage timeline, see replies, etc. Hard to explain, but different.

It is quite possible that if I switch over to using it primarily, I will do the same on desktop, because I think bouncing between this and Primal or Snort will break my mind a bit.

I really need to figure out how to increase the font size just a bit in a kiwi pwa though.

Still need to sort out zaps too.

Mowed lawns in the neighborhood from about age 12, then worked at Wendy's for $4.25 (which was min wage) when I could legally work as an employee.

Don't regret any of that. Have done many different things since.

A couple hours i to this experiment, it seems a lot of the web clients will work okay in kiwi, with nos2x doin NIP07 auth.

I haven't had any luck getting Alby to work reliably as a Kiwi extension. It sems to die when trying to approve a new site, so I'm guessing there is a nos2x prompt being generated somewhere hidden to allow it,and I can't see it so can't approve it.

This means I can only zap by using a mobile lightning wallet app, which I can do, but the UX isn't really worth it.

I don't think anyone has reactions on web versions yet.

For readability, I'm liking Satellite, Iris, Snort, and Primal. Nobody's perfect there though, and I don't yet see a clear winner or loser at this point. I'm not a fan of Coracle's layout right now, but that could be easily overcome.

Trying to walk away from Onyx. It was good for what it was when it was created, but now it is more of a deprecation.

That said, I want to practice good nsec hygiene. That means I never want to enter an nsec in another client on mobile or desktop. I have nos2x, nsecbunker, and alby. Those should be enough. (Alby usrs nos2x, so really my nsec is only in two places).

So, taking this week to sort it out. Installed Kiwi browser. Had been confusing it with nostr.kiwi - but now I've got both options (NIP-07 and NIP-46) available to me.

Starting with Nostrnet.work, mostly as a way to have a lot if clients to try closecat hand.

Mobile hasn't been great so far, any controls at the bottom seem to be out of frame because of the header/menu.

What I think I will miss most from Onyx will be the show more feature for long notes, and reaction emojis.

Oh, and Amethyst? Not until it offers a way to login without my nsec.

I doubt you'd find either as audiobooks. I use kindle, and there are defintely nights that I couldn't get through even a page of Yalom before needing to put it down because of mind wander. I totally get it, and going at your own pace is highly suggested.

If you want to go hard at this, read these two books. Then you'll see where I come from with my disregard of "reality", and maybe some ideas that leave me with something more rewarding than nihilism.

The Case Agsinst Reality - Hoffman

Existential Psychotherapy - Yalom

Either one of these assumes you've been wandering down this path for a while, have some philosophy under your belt, maybe read Frankl, Kierkegaard, Jung, etc.

In some way it bring me back around to Mises and human action. Praxeology is pretty interesting, and even @knut svanholm's recent book is a good intro.

I met a riding club today. Honestly, underimpressed. Rode off by myself afterward, did about 50 miles of highway and freeway. In 95Β° heat, just to see how that went. It was hot, but bearable.

See you all in the morning, we can catch up then.

Maybe, then possibly.
