🐟🥖 Christ is King

It does. There is no threat to Amethyst on Android. Even if there was, Android users could install the apk directly or else download from Fdroid. So the specific problem here--that of iOS users being unable to zap within 14 days--would be fixed by them switching to Android. Ideally Degoogled Android.

Degoogled Android on the phone, Linux on the desktop. These are the most free options we have right now, afaik. I'm on Degoogled Android and I don't need to worry about Google taking Amethyst out of the Play Store as I'd just download the apk or else get from Fdroid. That's pretty robust censorship resistance, especially compared to iOS.

If it's your profession I understand and you've got to do whatever fiat mining you need to do to stack, but in an ideally world all bitcoiners make a stand and only use and build on FOSS.

Or even better throw away the iPhone and get a Degoogled Android. Don't buy Apple. Apple is an enemy of freedom tech. Even if they relent this time the die is cast. Anyone who cares about freedom tech needs to make that decision and get that resolve to leave the Apple gulag. Don't buy Apple don't build on Apple.

It's time for bitcoiners to move to FOSS for the full stack. Degoogled Android on the phone. Linux on the Desktop. Only a matter of time until Apple close down all Bitcoin and freedom tech related apps. Stop buying Apple. Apple is an enemy of freedom tech.

Everyone who cares about freedom tech like Bitcoin and Nostr should purcge closed walled garden garbage like Apple from their life. Degoogled Android on the phone and Linux on the desktop. The centralized corporate app stores will be targeted and will shut down Bitcoin apps from their app stores. It's a matter of time. This is a war. It's freedom or slavery. You can't compromise and win a war. Throw Apple out today. Or at least resolve not to buy any new Apple device and to upgrade your devices to FOSS when you need to refresh. ✊

People moss the rage, the "enemy", the drama. Dunking on "the libs" etc. It makes us feel alive. People on Nostr are far too based/sensible so there is nobody to rage at here. I actually consider that a feature. I used to enjoy Twitter back when you could curate your own experience. It was Twitter pushing the engagement crap into my timeline which alcausede to quit even before I found Nostr. But I do admit to peeking over there now and again at the latest Nic Carter meltdown or Balaji hyperbole for example.
