Aww...Bug just turned 8 months last week, too! My little Man is as big as his brother was at 12 months, though. He's going to be a monster!

I also think that carrying my giant 8 month old helped with creating the ache. Both my boys take after their dad, and will be well over 6' tall.

I had an ankle reconstruction back in '07 due to multiple sprains and strains, stretching out the ligaments so much I was rolling the ankle multiple times a day. Doctors orders are 1" max heels.
But I've been diving into barefoot shoes the past few years, and now I've decided to find a good pair of dressy ones.

I wore heels for half an hour Thursday, and now my right ankle and left knee are all achy and sore. This is what happens when you're closing in on 40, carry around a 25lb 8 month old, go barefoot all the time, and then put on heels for an event. Also...high heels are just not good in general.
I need to find some nice looking barefoot shoes for weddings and funerals.

Yup! We're just glad they have this house, and we are not related to only visiting the suburbs when we want to visit.

Little Man loves visiting Nanny & Papa at the lake. Between the walks, UTV rides on the trail, and testing out the kayaks, there's more for him to do than hours in the day!

Getting crust ready for homemade pizza night. My favorite recipe is from A Farmish Kind of Life. We just quadruple it to let everyone do their own. Homemade sauce later, then topped with cheese, ground sausage from the hog we did in the fall and for me, freeze dried peppers from the garden. So good!
