I realized that I've been pretty close to 18/6 for the last few years, but being very loose w/evening snacking. So it wasn't a big shift. So even if I loosen up the rigor, I don't think my eating habits would dramatically shift.

I didn't like my 20/4 experiment. But I've been noticing that I'm not super hungry for my second meal, so thinking of replacing it with just an easy keto-friendly snack (cheese, almonds, etc). Would be kind of nice to have ~45min of my evening back by not spending time cooking and eating.

Heh, exactly the crowd of lovable complete assholes to help keep me in line!

Keto + intermittent fasting (18/6) update:

Since June 2nd:

* 154 lbs -> 140.5 lbs

* 20% body fat -> 14.5%

Amazing. My stack of too-tight-for-comfort t-shirts now fit perfectly!

(I gotta get better about not yo-yo-ing throughout the year. If you see me at a conf or meetup looking heavier, you 100% can just say, "bro, get back on keto!")

Big props to @npub14glkj3cmlv9d7un93c38j2x39h7z0xfmtgahn2dhqmr2d6da323srfrkg0 for writing this awesome QR reader tool! I haven't done extensive testing yet, but it's already a huge win for guerrilla-style, permissionless, hacking!

WHAT IF... you could use your @npub17tyke9lkgxd98ruyeul6wt3pj3s9uxzgp9hxu5tsenjmweue6sqq4y3mgl to set up a new Unchained Capital multisig?!!

Whelp, this is just an experiment BUT... hell, that was easy!!

Okay, y'all, REALLY proud of this one!

Current @npub17tyke9lkgxd98ruyeul6wt3pj3s9uxzgp9hxu5tsenjmweue6sqq4y3mgl dev builds are looking great, EXCEPT the frame rate in the live preview got worse in the new custom linux OS. Like "unacceptably bad" worse.

I haven't really looked at the live preview code since like July 2021. But I did find some areas to optimize! Squeezing every bit out of it that I could think of yielded enough to make a substantial improvement to usability. Just enough to nudge it over the "okay, it's not terrible" threshold.

Some fun optimizations this morning! Our new custom

@npub17tyke9lkgxd98ruyeul6wt3pj3s9uxzgp9hxu5tsenjmweue6sqq4y3mgl linux OS boots really fast (~14s) but the actual SeedSigner code was taking too long to get running.

AND one of my big PRs added bad delays on some initial screens.

Terrible. Here's the fix!

I technically break my fast in the AM with coffee + a teaspoon of coconut oil.

Fiberglass. Feels like a soft plastic. Consistency is much more flexible than the original metal screen.

Day 3 of experimenting with 20/4 intermittent fasting with one large main meal at noon and then some cheese and almond snacking around 4pm.

OMG I've never been this deep into ketosis!

The evening and morning aren't bad, but the stretch to noon gets rougher. Not crazy-hungry, but just feeling drained and irritable (poor @npub1kumadawgefxjt2c293whsan5sfmdg5tylm0uk39enc6uxxfy5m4scrz2v7 !).

Gonna go back to 16/8 w/two meals.

I had no clue. I was searching for that frame size thinking I had to order a whole new assembly at first!

The screen material is just trapped in place by a rubber liner. Pull that out, position the new screen material, use a special roller tool to stuff the liner back into the track, kinda sorta try to keep the screen material straight (but imperfections aren't really noticeable).

New homeowner achievement! Didn't know it was so easy to replace a torn screen!

Sounds right. I don't use Windows much so I realized there wasn't enough worth saving on my original install. So I just installed a fresh copy on the new drive. So dumb, but problem solved.

Did full disk clone w/a few diff tools. Problem seems to be:

(orig setup)

C: on SSD1

UEFI + D: on HDD1

(clone's setup)

C: on new nvme

UEFI + D: on HDD1 (unchanged)

* Will not boot

Tried adding UEFI partition to new nvme, unplugged SSD1 and HDD1. Nope.

Tried adding UEFI partition to SSD1, then cloning to nvme. Nope.

Basically... just gonna nuke it from orbit and install a fresh Windows 10 on the new nvme with no other drives connected. Then I'll be guaranteed to have a self-contained UEFI + C: universe on the nvme. Then will back HDD1 as a data drive and wipe its UEFI partition.

ps - I hate that I know any of this. I didn't want to learn about any of this.
