As soon as the Monero community started talking about PoW + PoS, the price went up.

Too many vultures started circling Monero at the exact moment Pubic launched his attack, and began offering their "help".

We (Monero community) need to be very careful.

A prostitute from Bitcoin Core (a.k.a. A recent fundraiser video to send these beautiful baby drones to the front. 😂

They accept Bitcoin, like most Ukrainian charities: https://www.sternenkofund.org/donate

Marginal cost to kill or seriously wound a Russian by a drone is estimated at about 1,000,000 sats. And with AML/KYC Bitcoin, you can donate untraceably. Quite cypherpunk in a way really.

The most fucking bizarre thing I've seen today:

an American who has no idea about Ukraine reposts a Ukrainian "volunteer" (or rather a thief and murderer who killed a man before the war and shielded the drug business in the city of Odessa) and presents it as good news because this thief and murderer accepts Bitcoin and that it's "quite cypherpunk".

P.S. I'll leave this here in case some mentally challenged American starts yelling at me that I'm Russian—I'm Ukrainian.

I spent all day yesterday playing around with Bitchat.

Yes, it's a cool FOSS tool with a slightly different use case than SimpleX.

The downside of Nostr is that you are locked in the Bitcoin information bubble.

[ i get it, for some people this is a benefit ]

I waited 8 days for the latest version of @unstoppablebyhs to appear on F-Droid...

The basic functionality works, meaning that for now, you can only receive at 1 address.

The rest of the functionality is planned to be completed in the next +- 1 month.

🤷🏻‍♂️

Another one... 😒

By the way, after the Qubic incident, I noticed a large number of "well-wishers" who can't sleep at night because they really want to help Monero and want XMR to abandon RandomX in favor of an ASIC friendly algorithm, or full PoS...

If an average normie says they're happy, yeah, that's cool, I'm happy for them.

Also, don't forget that this was paid for by the cuckolds who pay taxes.

It must suck to be a normie.

This applies to every aspect of everyday human activity, from believing in your government, participating in the "elections" of parasites, to using proprietary software and buying any crypto with KYC/AML.

It's time to unsubscribe from many cunts.

Oh, I know at least 2 dates when I'll be in a good, democratic mood... 🇪🇺😌

This is what you call a research, not your corrupt "crypto media" cunts that successfully sold you (suckers) the panic that Monero is dead.

If you still have the ability to read and analyze information about XMR, then... congratulations.

How wonderful the market is! 😌

Market = voluntary human activity.

Due to panic (which is stronger than the attack itself), the price of Monero fell only by ~7% / 24h. [ freaking XMR doesn't want to die ]

Those few CEXs that for some strange reason haven't delisted XMR yet, closed the withdrawal = added more panic.

Crypto media (in most cases, corrupt cunts) have buried XMR dozens of times since yesterday.

Popular people in X and Nostr, heard the bell, although I don't know where it is, and added panic with their inaccurate posts = added more panic.

The first test network (alpha stressnet) for FCMP++ will be launched soon = XMR already gets "quiet attention"...

It's not hard to guess what will happen to the price of XMR when the developers inform us about the status of FCMP++.

It's also not hard to guess what will happen to the price of XMR when FCMP++ is in the mainnet.

And my post is not about the price of 1 XMR in fiat (although for whom it matters, and that's fine), but about how thousands of people around the world are wondering what to do and how to benefit from it.

How wonderful the market is...

I am sometimes shocked at how FOSS developers refuse free money (crypto donations) so that people can support their project!!!!

And then they shut down the project because there is no money, or sell it to a company that closes the code and embeds advertising.

What else can I watch endlessly, besides a campfire in a quiet forest, or a mountain river?

How popular Bitcoiners lick the boots of the state (and el Comandante Bukele). 😌

I’m living a nice and wholesome life

I wake up every morning without setting any alarm and do what I love all day long

But I’m still pissed off that I joined a revolution that never happened

Everything we used to say that would happen with Bitcoin went down the drain

Now it’s a stonk, just an instrument to speculate on in hopes of making more US dollars

It didn’t progress towards becoming a currency that competes with the dollar

It didn’t progress technically to encourage freedom fighters around the world to use it

Outside of making more dollars, there’s nothing that it does that other networks do better

It doesn’t have a killer use case anymore

The user experience sucks compared to fintech

All we have is hope that the ship will eventually turn around

But even the OGs who joined for ideological reasons seem to be selling

So who remains to defend the principles of the early days?

Who will still want to end the Fed when the Fed is making you more US dollars?

I don’t even see my friends around anymore, they either turned into insufferable suits or else they left the space

It’s depressing, really. This is not what many of us signed up for and I feel deceived

I spent nearly a decade promoting Bitcoin as freedom tech, but now the FBI is allegedly happier when their targets use bitcoin instead of cash (as suggested by Peter Thiel)

I feel sorry for some of the people I onboarded, who used custodial Lightning wallets that probably rugged them

I sometimes feel like a fraud who pushed false advertisement

But ultimately, I wish more bitcoiners demanded a change. Anything that lets developers build cool stuff and new use cases.

CTV, CAT, BIP300, I don’t even care at this point. Just push the boundaries, make Bitcoin technologically exciting again.

The bankers might fuck us, the old cypherpunks might sell out, but at least give the rest of us some cool toys to play with.

But no, “there’s no consensus”

Fuxking bullshit

>>> But I’m still pissed off that I joined a revolution that never happened

No one is forcing you to stay where you are now, right?

>>> Everything we used to say that would happen with Bitcoin went down the drain

Yes, that's why there are so many other different projects around, because people didn't want to bow down to Blockstream and Bitcoin Core and just sit and wait for the kings to decide what to do with the project.

>>> Now it’s a stonk, just an instrument to speculate on in hopes of making more US dollars

Many popular figures in the Bitcoin community have been waiting for institutional money for years. Dreams come true. They've arrived. Everyone is enjoying it. Only you don't like the fact that BTC has been recognized by governments. Enjoy the cypherpunk future together with the government.

>>> It didn’t progress towards becoming a currency that competes with the dollar

No offense, but that sounds a little naive.

>>> It didn’t progress technically to encourage freedom fighters around the world to use it

It is impossible to predict everything that happens in a free market. One can only enjoy it. People around the world use what is beneficial to them, and Bitcoin definitely loses out here in comparison to USDT (whether one likes it or not). Also, Bitcoin has begun to lose out to Monero in terms of payment convenience, without the need to build additional crutches that only lower the UX.

>>> Outside of making more dollars, there’s nothing that it does that other networks do better

Free market! Monero - for cheap and private payments by default.

Ethereum / Solana - for DeFi.

Bitcoin—for NgU, and for recognition by revolutionary states (lol) and their structures. The Bitcoin revolution is here, together with us and the good states around us. Aren't you winning!?

>>> It doesn’t have a killer use case anymore

And this has been the case for many years.

>>> All we have is hope that the ship will eventually turn around

What kind of change are you hoping for in Bitcoin? Privacy? The big boyzzz who call the shots don't need that.

>>> But even the OGs who joined for ideological reasons seem to be selling

Because there are more ideological projects and communities.

>>> It’s depressing, really. This is not what many of us signed up for and I feel deceived

I get you. You can also go for a more ideological community.

>>> I spent nearly a decade promoting Bitcoin as freedom tech, but now the FBI is allegedly happier when their targets use bitcoin instead of cash (as suggested by Peter Thiel)

About ~8 years ago, special services began to openly say that they prefer when "criminals" choose Bitcoin over the traditional financial system because it is easier for them to track BTC.

>>> I sometimes feel like a fraud who pushed false advertisement

It's not your fault that the Bitcoin project was hijacked.

Enjoyed reading this article.

This is what really works - peaceful economic resistance, not "laws", courts and elections.

Quietly, peacefully, _people_ build strong economic and social ties with each other, and the state gets - 🖕🏻
