Yesterday I tried to install acrobat reader on Windows, I ended up having to give up and just view the pdf in the browser, too many hoops to jump through, and an installation screen that wouldn’t respond. You need to look at Nimiq which is an amazing browser-based wallet and now a payment-optimised native mobile app as Nimiq Pay. Both self-custodial and much more user-friendly and lower tx fees than custodial LN. Also, the app is soon to offer support for a bridge from NIM to LN. I realise this is not quite what you were looking for, but the current situation inescapably leaves the masses stuck on custodial wallets! People simply aren’t going to open Phoenix wallet and deal with the hassle.

Wider support for NIP-05 login via nsec.app sounds to me like a great solution, from my non-technical perspective. That would be a one-stop solution across all platforms via the app website and PWA.

I am not going to write the code, so I guess I am on the periphery of cypherpunk. Although I guess at least acknowledging the need to code and otherwise get hands-on is something. The main thing for me is that I feel to carve out a crypto identity for myself which is differentiated from the speculative investment aspect. The decentralised payment system creating a private, fair and free vital economy. The other thing is leaving room for individualism and “anything goes”. Is Bitcoin-only a more circumscribed conversation than was being had in the cypherpunk era?
