I think that the real reason is that there are 100s of social media platforms and they don't believe that Nostr is different.
What they really don't have time for is to study ALL of them and learn that Nostr is something else.
Making the pitch is one thing. Making them understand is something else entirely!
It does not help that 'protocol' sounds alien to most people. 'Uncensorable' sounds like it might be about gambling or porn. 'Micropayments' reminds people of scammy in-app purchases and DLCs...
Not even that! You can automate it. No need to manually copy-paste.
I don't think that is the issue... the mental block is a different one.
I've spoken to a couple big content creators about it... they just don't want to spend the mental energy of learning a new social. They don't get the value.
MiCA is garbage. Always was. From the first drafts.
I know some companies who unfortunately have to comply... they are being buried in paperwork. They hate it.
It is frustrating that it takes time for people to discover it... especially the people who we know need it the most!
But that's how the world works. It takes time for adoption. We saw it for e-mail, bitcoin, the web... it's the same for Nostr.
I understand that professional content creators need to focus their efforts on the platforms where the masses are.
But it takes little effort to replicate that content on Nostr for censorship insurance.
As Nostr grows it will eventually make sense to be Nostr first, then Nostr only.
Is is early for that. We have time. A protocol is not a startup with limited runway where being early is being wrong.
Nostr will be around for a long time. We will have an infinite number of opportunities to make our case.
Also zaps ⚡️can power content in a way that youtube, insta, twitter just can't.

Hospitales y escuelas: Privatización. Pagan los usuarios. Becas para los más pobres. Hay infinidad de ejemplos tanto históricos como presentes de países con sistemas privados o semi-privados y funcionan mucho mejor que los gubernamentales. El sistema suizo es especialmente buen ejemplo.
Carreteras: Privatización. Peajes. Pago por uso. De nuevo hay infinidad de ejemplos y libros que lo estudian (por ejemplo el de Walter Block).
Pensiones: privatización total. Las pensiones públicas son un desastre y se fundaron (por Bismarck) para controlar a la población y destruir las pensiones voluntarias de sindicatos y asociaciones.

But the industrial revolution was definitely a major factor.
What made the Industrial Revolution possible? Why did it happen when it did and not in the Roman Empire or Song China (both of which had many of the necessary inventions)?
Mises and Hayek would argue that private property rights, capitalism, individual rights, free trade allowed for progress to accumulate and compound over a century or two... and then to spread around the world.
Most of that happened under the British gold standard by the way... so no, not fiat. If anything fiat money during the two world wars slowed progress down. The current fiat regime since 1971 has actually seen stagnation in growth and poverty reduction (with some exceptions China, Eastern Europe).
I've had to update this Bitcoin adoption progress chart because reality is happening faster than estimated.
