Now that I'm starting a full-time sales job, All Muay Thai coaching I do will be for cash, barter, or bitcoin. Learn to use the tools or find a different coach.
I guess ice cream companies have to act like they're saving the world when you read the container because clearly they're doing more harm than good to their customers π
Of all the items found in a grocery store, ice cream virtue signals the most.
I have an Ubuntu server for the Bitcoin stuff (Ministry of Nodes Ubuntu Node ox 2022). The other server is for non-financial stuff and I have yet to set it up. Definitely going to play around with NixOS this time.
Home network stack: what to add?
- Secure Gateway (pfsense)
- Bitcoin Node, Fulcrum Server, Lightning Node
- Cashu Mint
- Nextcloud for Photos, documents, etc
- Alpaca hosted AI
- Nostr Relay (Stirfry)
- Remote access capeablility (via Tailscale, but there probably is a better way)
Great advice, thank you.
That's the way I'm leaning. I already left a sales job to be a full-time amateur fighter and coach, and glad I did. But it's tough taking a job for less than half the pay of another offer.
2 job offers today πΎ
Need to basically choose between more money and doing something new and exciting. Lots of factors to consider.
Whenever I use Amethyst I can only see the same 10 accounts on my feed. It's a real shame because the app has many good features.

Bitcoin Key? - Robert Burch

This Robert Burch piece makes me think of Nostr private keys.

I feel like he only wrote 5 blogposts but they were well researched and well written. He also went to meetups and met some influential people. But it worked great for him.
Ended up with another Robert Burch piece. Everytime I see his work it somehow reminds me of freedom tech.

Bitcoin companies also hire content creators, that's how my friend got hired. You could start a blog that educates readers about freedom tech.
I don't have a computer science degree, so I took tests to become CompTIA A+ certified and I am learning Python in my spare time. It is a long road, but I have progressed much. I have a second interview with a fiat job in a tech role today. That should give me experience to work at a Bitcoin company when a job opens up. And in the meantime I'll continue to attend BitDevs and help with Bitcoin-related open source projects to network and build my resume.

I want to work in Bitcoin, and keep developing my technical experience to where I can work in a Sysadmin or Development role at a Bitcoin company. That will take some more time. I can keep learning about that field in my spare time even if I take the sales job, but being in a technical support role will probably speed up that learning process.
