I'm sorry... What was your question?

And no, it's not fud. I'm just commenting on my experience with people running gos. They constantly complain about features and functions that other android devices have that they're unable to use on gos. There's no fear, uncertainty, or doubt. Just an observation I've made based on my subjective experience.

Whoops! I replied to the wrong note. Sorry! Please ignore.

Officials determined the craft was “a hobby or toy type of drone” and “not a large commercial or military grade drone,” the Pequannock Police Department told The Post.

The mayor of Pequannock, Ryan Herd, told The Post “it is definitely not” one of the massive, car-size drones that purportedly have been hovering overhead.

It was on the scanner. You're thinking about the call reporting the crash, and subsequent chatter about it from the cops. The statement was released the day after. I'll see if I can find it.

I don't know what that means. They recovered the drone and released a statement saying it was a consumer-grade drone, and not something larger, such as a military drone.

He clearly didn't want to get rid of the gun. He had plenty of time and opportunity to ditch the gun if he wanted to. Personally, I suspect he had more targets in mind and kept the gun because he anticipated using it again.

What's the basis for claiming these drones weigh 600lbs? The one that crashed into someone's backyard the other day was recovered by police who said it was pretty standard, consumer-grade drone, and not a larger military drone.

You can thoroughly discuss bitcoin without revealing your holdings, or your investment methods. I would suggest people stick with academics, and be careful not to make your stack the center of the conversation.

It's very possible that it started with just a few drones, and grew as copycats joined in. I don't know that for a fact, but I think it's plausible. The fact is, nobody knows so we're just left with theories and guesses. Until we have more data, there's really no basis for a conclusion.

It could be aliens, but we don't have enough data to draw that conclusion. Personally, I suspect this started with one guy and his drone. And then as people started seeing it and turning it into a spectacle, other drone people started doing the copycat thing, and flying their drones as well. That's how get multiple sightings. That just feeds the frenzy, and encourages more drones. Rinse and repeat.

I don't even understand why it's a matter of belief that these drones are operating in the skies of eastern NJ. Like, I can understand not believing they're anything special, but to flat-out not believe they exist is absurd. Their existence isn't in doubt, just their origins

I absolutely believe that there's a drone situation in NJ because I see the videos every day. What I don't believe in jumping to fantastical, unsupported conclusions as to what they are, and who's controlling them. As a UFO afficionado going back to the early 80s, I don't think anything about them points to an extraordinary non-human explanation. There's just no data or facts that would support that conclusion. Right now, the only justifiable tentative explanation is, "I don't know." We have to wait for more data to come to a justifiable explanation. The tendency to say it's UFOs until proven otherwise is totally backwards, and not in line with rational, critical thinking or logical reason.

I tried signing up, but it kept telling it couldn't verify my identity, and directed me to confirm and edit my details. I did this 3 times, with perfect, complete information, and then it told me it couldn't open my account or provide me any information on why. Frustrating. I may call their customer service line and see if I can get it worked out. Not sure why it was having a hard time with my info since it's the exact info I use everytime a service needs to verify my identity. And this is the first time it was a problem. 🤷‍♂️

Everyone I know running GrapheneOS is constantly complaining about shit regular android users can do, but which doesn't work on Graphene. Someone was telling me just yesterday that they couldn't lock their phone. Apparently, that function just doesn't exist in Graphene. I get the privacy and open source thing, but at some point you have to prioritize usability. Otherwise, why even bother?

Ya, you have to enable notifications because that's how they run in background. It's a little slower than some other NWC solutions, but it's a reliable mechanism that doesn't require any user interaction. And that's what's important in an NWC wallet.

Having to open the wallet to finalize zaps defeats the purpose, and makes wallet.cashu.me essentially worthless as an NWC wallet. It's why I switched back to Minibits.

"Censorship makes the world smaller; it makes the world scarier. It teaches us to fear experiences and ideas different from our own. Censorship is a thief. It divides and conquers; it steals the possibility and opportunity that come from community, from what happens when we put our collective heads together.

Plus, censorship is just so tired. Empathy and understanding are far more interesting, far more worth fighting for." #musings #quote ~Summer Boismier

That's a good assumption. If Signal was hacked, it would be on the front page of every tech journal and news outlet because journalists use Signal extensively to have private conversations with sources, and receive anonymous tips.
