Handyman engineer. I bounce from project to project. I'm often called in to do the finishing touches, bringing 90% complete projects over the finish line. I'm good at making disparate systems talk to each other. * Zaps powered by nostr:nprofile1qqsf07zg4hxyccnkdp07fppxmetpfzru3fg6mgzx3nk8r7af8qnjjyg76vulm * On-chain powered by nostr:nprofile1qqsvxq03xdev3uxehjqcdkr5lfzl5vawmcf7vm6ps73m6ghwg8y4k2shaefxp *Always Buy the Dip* #privacy #security #linux #Android #networkengineer #infosec #SimpleX #dogs #cats #pets #cooking

Nip Tok could be good. Or Nok Tok.

Facebook has started banning links to other social media platforms, like Pixelfed and Mastodon. I wonder how long it will be before njump and other Nostr aggregators are banned as well. #blog

Ya, the Bluetooth functionality on several hardware wallets always bothered me. On the Jade you can download a special "no Bluetooth" firmware to completely disable Bluetooth functionality, which is cool, but it really shouldn't have Bluetooth to begin with. It sho9br disabled by default, with the option to enable it by flashing a special firmware. As you say, it's just too big of an attack surface. Ideally, these devices should be NFC, QR, and MicroSD only. Anything else is putting your seeds in potential jeopardy.

NFC is the way, especially for mobile devices. Other options like QR, and MicroSD cards are still necessary for maximum compatibility across systems, but you really can't beat NFC for quick and efficient signing.

The look is nice, but the text of the opening page should be a summary of the purpose of the content. Based on this, I have no idea what I'm going to find if I continue further. Is it a tutorial? Is it's an extensive outline of the Nostr protocol? Is it a guide to onboard new users? None of that is apparent from this opening text.

Of I were you, I'd write a short summary of the purpose of this content, and use that as the opening text rather than this ambiguous, top-level marketing summary.

I liked Litecoin back in the early days, but its utility decreased as newer currencies were developed. I just don't see where it fits in.

Orion is the friend who never leaves your side.

I'm this match up, I'd say Monero. Litecoin is a useless relic at this point.

He doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who's good at telling stories. He's more the type to break out some prototype AI globe that tells stories on his behalf.

Their business class laptops are the shit. I'd pick one of them over pretty much any other laptop.

Between Negative and Meh, he's not doing real well. Fortunately for him he doesn't have a history of being well-liked or popular, so this probably isn't a big blow to his self-image.

I think it's more likely the name BitKey wasn't trademarked. Because it is a registered trademark of the hardware wallet company.

Yeah, the ability to develop apps for various functions means the sky's the sky's the limit. I really like the security key feature that allows the Prime to be used as Yubikeys. It means no more buying and managing several YubiKeys.

Just remember, all that matters is today. Ditching the alcohol is all about deciding that you're not going to drink for today. Tomorrow is another day, and another decision.

In my experience, it's all downhill after year 5. I don't even think about it anymore. And I'm able to keep alcohol in the house for when guests come over without any temptation. Congrats on your own sobriety!

Today marks 11 years since I quit drinking! Alcohol was a major part of my life. But it got to the point where it was creating unmanagable problems. I hurt a lot of people, including people I loved, and had truly made a mess of my life. So I gave it up, cold turkey, and have never looked back. Giving up alcohol didn't get rid of all of my problems, but it did get rid of all my alcohol-related problems. Here's to another 11 years!
