I don't think Amber assumes relays are free because it specifically doesn't support paid relays. Relays added to Amber must be free.
I know he wasn't charged with murder. You posted about the 6 people who died in the context of minimization. That's why asked how many deaths would have warranted concern. I wasn't implying that he was charged with murder.
By that logic, no drug dealers should ever be held accountable since some other dealer would have killed those users if they weren't around. That's some weak sauce.
I've been running #Nunchuk on mobile connected to my nostr:nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnyv9kh2uewd9hj7qghwaehxw309aex2mrp0yhxummnw3ezu6twvehj7qgwwaehxw309ahx7uewd3hkctcprfmhxue69uhkummnw3ezu7n9vfjkget99e3kcmm4vshsz9mhwden5te0wfjkccte9ehx7um5wghxyctwvshszythwden5te0dehhxarj9emkjmn99uqzq44xkafh8j8hhy79809wsmv0lw46nu4pkwqjyp20ekml80mytde8dy7zpl with no issues. That would be my recommendation.
Nunchuk FTW!
How many people would have to die for it to be concerning?
Why? Why the rush to "reach out" to a third-world hermit nation on the other side of the world who we have no relations with? The only thing that makes sense is that Trump knows interactions with Kim generate a lot of press, and if there's anything he likes, it's press coverage. It's all about stroking his own ego. Because that's all that can come of it.
A phone call or a visit that he'll come out of talking about how great he is for talking to this absurd enemy that starves its own people for the sake of building weapons and providing luxury to its leader.
The United States and the American people will not benefit one iota from this nonsense. But Trump will. At our expense.
I think Vitalik is dead on with this concern. Shitcoins absolutely have the potential to be used as a vehicle for bribery and influence peddling. If any politicians start releasing these memecoins, we should probably keep a very close eye on them, and view them with skepticism.
Analog guages are just better.
Your argument is with the state of our drug laws. It says nothing of the fact that he was charged and sentenced under current law. The fact that you disagree with that law is not an justification for the hero worship of this one individual. Nostr has become a mecca for Ross worship, and I don't think that's a positive development. As I said, I think the sentence was overly harsh and I'm glad he's out, but the glorification and singular focus on this guy is absurd. I haven't even been as active here in the past few days because of the over the top celebrations and myth making that has seemingly taken over Nostr. It's depressing because this is the only social media I use, and it feels like it's becoming a cult platform.
I don't think he should have gotten a life sentence, and I'm glad he's out, but the lionizing and over the top hero worship is a bit out of hand. People are acting like he invented oxygen, and was falsely imprisoned when the fact is he was imprisoned for money laundering and conspiracy to traffic narcotics. He was found guilty by a jury of his peers, sentenced by an impartial judge, and he lost his appeal. Some of these posts I'm seeing are absolutely ridiculous, whitewashing the facts, and revising history to justify treating him like Jesus.
Not bought? Seriously? He's the most corrupt person to ever sit in the White House, and everything he runs a brazen influence peddling operation, with his shitcoin setup to allow foreign money to pour into his wallet. I mean, it's just ridiculous to claim he's not bought when he's constantly for sale to the highest bidder.
Those are prison sweats, not a $400 designer outfit. I'll stick with Walmart if I wanna cosplay.

I dunno. Maybe some used GrapheneOS with an app. I'm sure at least some just used the website.
I haven't personally used Wise, but it's one of the common payment methods on Robosats, and I know several people who have used it successfully to transfer funds.
We need #encryption backdoors to 'enforce' democracy says Europol chief.
Says anonymity "not a fundamental right"

I disagree.
#Anonymity is part of the bedrock of protecting healthy dissent.
Forcing total government access to private communications lays the technical groundwork for undermining democracy.

But here we are. It's a new year, so cops & governments are taking fresh swings at encryption.
Only the scare tactics change.
Welcome to a new, cynical chapter in the fight to protect privacy.

Demanding them... when the worst recent national security breaches in the US happened... when #China hacked government-mandated backdoors... is also absurd.
There's every reason to believe something similar may have happened in #Europe , we just don't know it yet.
Shortsighted and cynical stuff.

Why so we keep having to explain why back doors in encryption is so terrible? Can't they just go look at what we said the last 18 times? The answer is the same. The fatal flaws are the same. No new discussion is needed. Just no.
If you're new, you probably don't want to rush into starting your own lightning node with Alby. You should start with a basic custodial wallet, like Minibits or Coinos.io, til you get the hang of sending and receiving lightning payments. When you start buying and accumulating larger amounts of Bitcoin, then you can look into a Lightning node with Alby or other providers.
I went to see one of these at the Botanical Gardens in Philadelphia. Interesting to see, but it stinks. Wouldn't go again.
OMG I was just thinking about this the other day! Somehow that song about a land called Hanaleigh got stuck on my head and I ended up replaying the movie in my head.
And since when do you need ID to mail a package?
Yep, and we can just mute them. It's like they don't exist. And at the same time, I'm not pushing them off the platform.
Sounds pretty Orwellian to me. This is what happens when people who don't understand technology, or the fundamental right to privacy are put on positions of power. This clown can shove his digital ID straight up his Spanish ass. Not on Nostr.
I just setup my new Tapsigner with nostr:nprofile1qqsvxq03xdev3uxehjqcdkr5lfzl5vawmcf7vm6ps73m6ghwg8y4k2spz4mhxue69uhk2er9dchxummnw3ezumrpdejqz9nhwden5te0dehhxarj9eekcmm5dpujuamfdcq3yamnwvaz7tmsw4e8qmr9wpskwtn9wvuasnac, and the process couldn't have been easier. In under a minute I was able to create a new Tapsigner key, back it up, and assign it to a new wallet. That wallet now uses the Tapsigner as a single-signing key, requiring an NFC tap to send any coins.
The Tapsigner also works with multi-sig wallets, and can be combined with other hardware wallets/signers and software keys to authenticate a multi-sig send transaction. And it's only $20!
I think one of those cash register sounds would be cool.
That first one is a big one. Many, many people feel totally qualified to climb up on their soapbox and deliver a lecture when they clearly don't have all the facts. It's this aggressive instinct to demonstrate competence and knowledge. But if you don't actually have all the facts, you're just going to sound like an arrogant prick who doesn't know his ass from his elbow.
More whataboutism. I'm done with this conversation. I've said what I wanted to say, and you're just running in circles with your fallacies and intellectual bankruptcy. GN
