This might be a fun feature to put in the backlog for npub.email, stamps whose value expires over time, so if you don't read the letter within a specified amount of time the token expires and can be claimed back by the sender (like an HTLC)

I can proudly say I use absolutely none of those. In fact I don't even know some of them.

ebooks today are a total scam. Kindle is a scam. You're not buying a book at all - you're just buying permission to read the book when amazon feels like letting you. If you make amazon mad your books can disappear, if amazon messes up your books can disappear, if you dare move to another country your books can disappear. if you want ebooks, get them from somewhere that actually gives you the real epub file, or buy physical books from actual physical bookstores

remember physical books don't need charging, physical books will still work 100 years from now and physical books are beautiful.

DRM is straight up theft, if you need a digital copy, unless you have a non DRM'd epub, they just stole your money, always, you just don't know it yet

To me it's just silly, I'm outside right now, on a spotty connection and I've zapped you from my own lightning node which sits in my house and is only accessible over tor, no issues, no failed payments. Yes lightning sucked years ago, but now it just works with almost never any issue

well it depends on your implementation of the web worker haha, but usually you can expect that in modern web browsers most events will be triggered.

there's one thing to look out for tho, web workers are a pain to code for because browsers tend to have very strange caching rules for them by default

What we're seeing with Nostr are natural growing pains, not fundamental limitations. Like any young protocol, it needs time to mature, standardize, and establish best practices.All these challenges can be solved - it's just a matter of time, collaboration, and iteration. 😃
