Thanks. Do you have any tips? And have you been able to get jobs with it?

You need a VPN because WOS does not give permission for people in certain jurisdictions like the US to send sats via lightning. You need to stack enough to send an on-chain transaction. Let me think about the most user friendly option.

Cool. I started applying to IT helpdesk jobs, I have a Google IT Technician certificate, but everyone wants CompTia A+. I began studying for that, but it was boring so now I'm studying security plus sense I already have much of the background knowledge it requires.

One of the real costs of privacy is convenience.

It's not easy to give up the UI/UX of Google and Apple products for hardwares and softwares like nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll, nostr:npub1235tem4hfn34edqh8hxfja9amty73998f0eagnuu4zm423s9e8ksdg0ht5 and Linux (all three which are great).

Once you take the bold and liberating step, the feeling is kind of the same as having a kid. You won't really know how awesome it is until you do it.

I haven't used Windows in about 4 years, but my wife needed some computer help one day.

I was like, "How the hell do you get any work done with all these pop up ads?"

The nostr integration is awesome.

What distro? I couldn't get the App Image files to work on Ibuntu 24, but it works on popOS.

Maybe npub was the wrong term. What is this called?

If the extension doesn't work, try entering your npub. I think they send you a message with a secret word to your nip04 messages.

Today I used it to buy a diet coke at a brewery near me that accepts bitcoin and thought about this Eric Hughes quote

"When I purchase a magazine at a store and hand cash to the clerk, there is no need to know who I am. When I ask my electronic mail provider to send and receive messages, my provider need not know to whom I am speaking or what I am saying or what others are saying to me; my provider only need know how to get the message there

how much I owe them in fees."

I felt like freedom.

In about 30 seconds you add zap supporters to your nostr:npub1pr4du5xl28dy5sh4msz9uddnwxgzupkk4qzjzklv84edc6ruevzqlxmkzp blog as a footer. It just html, copy and paste. Check out the video for a quick how-to inject demo.

This is amazing.

I have solar. I need a way to pay that bill.

I use Strike for my ACH rails.

I bought a cup of coffee for $4.00 with my credit card today. I get 1.5% cash back.

Then I paid 7,300 sats to a BTCpayServer POS using the Strike API. The sats instantly convert to fiat. I send the fiat to my bank once a month and put my credit card on autopay.

I would like a way to cut out the bank all together.

Bitrefill had an awesome bill pay service in 2022, but they discontinued it.

I'm looking for an alternative. Actually, I wish I could use bitrefill again. It was awesome.

What's the easiest way to pay bills with self custodial sats in the United States?

Did the bug get fixed? I wasn't able to use it for zaps a couple weeks ago.

What's this about? I don't talk much to fiat maxi Twitter these days.
