I've only read about 50ish pages into think fast, think slow but i already understand this will perfectly fit into what the author describes as "system 2 (think slow) taking over."

I'd go straight to the doctor to get myself tested for any degenerative diseases cause it seems i've lost it.

I would maybe argue that responding that way requires a bit more proof of work than a single-button-press thumbs up. It's sort of comparable to just swiping left on every match in tinder. It has really little value.

I do not use it in that way, it feels like you are forcing followers and/or engagement in the cheapest way. If i really like something or see a chance for a witty reaction i will use it. If i found any actual value in it apart from agreement or a chuckle i'll throw in a zap.

In the end it does not matter. This is nostr! If you want to thumbs up the damn thing you hit that button, just like it's somebody else's choice to not look at them.

I heard the 80s amps are actually becoming very popular again due to "warm sound" or something. Maybe give it 10 more years and these babies will be worth a few sats again? 🤔

I know my set has been heavily abused in my dad's garage after i left the house some 20 years ago. Probably not in too great a shape anymore..

So reporting back after about a week of usage i have switched (back) to ironfox.

A few sites had trouble rendering. Probably due to iffy javascript or something. They just stayed blank.

Most annoying thing is that it does not allow me to open external apps from the app. I cannot open a nostr client from njump, or a wallet from a lightning url.

It was always fast and smooth and i'll keep trying it occasionally. I have not bothered yet with reporting issues on GitHub or checking if people already made issues for it. Maybe i'll do that later. I think the project is still in early development so i'll just leave it as is for now.

Definitely promising and will try again for sure.

I kinda fell into the zfs on linux trap. My nas runs ubuntu but the retarded memory management requires you to declare a specific amount of what you want to use for arc, it can then not be used by the os and vice versa, whereas the freebsd implementation works much better where arc can take what it wants and if it's needed by the os it can release it.

I also run it on one of my laptops that I work on. I make snapshots every 5 minutes and zfs send them to my nas, where they will be pruned over time.

It's rather unfortunate that the implementation is so shitty on linux. I can run freebsd on my nas but i don't really want to go there with a laptop.

I'm happy i stopped reading the news. Been news free for almost a year now and i have no urges anymore to read anything.

Reflecting back on it, i never read much news but there was definitely a period where i had to resist a bit of FOMO, but i worry so much less and have so much more time. Totally worth it.

Normally evolution would take care of such problems, but these days we have to keep dragging all stupids along and you end up with this.

If words grind your gears it seems much more like a you problem than a me problem. If you do not like my words why do you let them get to you? Especially if i am some anonymous guy on a website. Grow a pair please. Do some self reflection.

GM! PV!

This is a nice curve where chatgpt thinks that by adding a fancier cup and more sugary stuff your coffee actually becomes better.

Also you can see its "imagination" being rather limited. Just throw in some galaxies..

They were in the fortunate scenario that nobody had a computer yet and they were definitely not connected to each other.

I've always felt a bit split about this. This clip is great as it shows a well trained dog doing exactly what it is supposed to do.

I have also seen the dark side of the pit bull where it is not well trained and instead of protecting a kid decides to maul or injure the kid instead.

This is probably in 99% of the cases related to the owner, but the pit bull seems to be very popular amongst people that actually cannot handle this kind of dog.

I am open minded about this as i know relatively little and of course all the bad stuff comes from news outlets that have their own agenda, but i am still interested in understanding how you look at this and if this is really overblown and if you can change my mind about this dog.
