Scott Bessent criticizes the Federal Reserve’s use of QE, saying it created a “two-tier economy” and calling the Fed the “engine of inequality” for inflating asset prices while leaving non-asset holders behind.

Here's the part he left out
Perfect because cumulative CPI is 24% over the same period. Fiat money's working exactly as designed.
Maybe never and that's okay. They've had every chance to correct course since the Olive Branch Petition in 1775. We tried telling them. Their own masochism is the oxygen for this tyranny.

Sort of like how Western gold demonetized Chinese silver through the century of humiliation. May the hardest money win.

GM. You can just make a living on bitcoin-friendly prediction markets and gift cards purchased with sats.

Still thinking about this. AI and quantum computing share an electron bottleneck in the US. "Too big to fail" tech companies building in these fields are also probably guaranteed a federal backstop because of their importance to national security.
Orbital data centers (using Chinese-made solar panels at first) might be the only hope the US has to close the electron gap with China. Elon has the best competitive moat imaginable for this scenario. The money printer will send him to Mars.
Plus, orbital data centers could help preserve Earth's beauty and move us slightly up the Kardashev scale. Amazing what happens when #bitcoin mining sets the floor for electricity.
If these numbers hold, SpaceX will debut at a valuation no one has ever seen.
OpenAI at $500B… SpaceX at $1.5T.

SpaceX has the competitive moat for building orbital data centers. Might want to buy some real estate at Earth's Lagrange points.

I view sending notes and other stuff (especially zaps) as a bit like hodling. It sends a demand signal for entrepreneurs, devs, and curious outsiders to learn from and respond to. Shitposting at said folks also helps sometimes.

GM to everyone who thinks that only one empire can usurp another in issuing the reserve currency, point out how nobody holds RMB, say there is no alternative to the US, and ignore the fact that the internet is far larger than any empire.

Gonna be a lot more of this soon. Like, probably, a whole lot more.
Just did thanks to your note. I really appreciate it!
