Valid point, but doesn't take into account that the US has killed american citizens extrajudicially as well, in drone attacks.
Also snipers on rooftops during protests reminds of the (likely US) op during the Maidan protests in Ukraine. Not to blame the US in the case of Iran ofcourse, they would have very much backed these protests I'd expect.
Religions are certainly used for control and division, but just as certainly that is not their only function.
Jung said somewhere that if person can believe in god, they will live a better life if they do.
For ppl who don't believe in god, the most rational stance is agnosticism - unless they can prove god does not exist. Fervently arguing that god does not exist while not being able to prove it is ironic.
The COVID mRNA vaccines should be recalled entirely, not pushed on pregnant women:

There's stuff I disagree with Corbett on as well, that doesn't make ALL his content crap of course.
The Corbett Report is still an awesome source of info, as the truth/bs rate is pretty good - you just can't trust it blindly, as with any other source.
It sucks that too much freedom software (including bitcoin) is hosted on Microsoft-owned github.
The amount of money the US spends on war is absurd. It is only possible because of the petrodollar.
So when people say "adopt bitcoin to stop war and save lives" they have a point.
PS This is an image straight out of wikipedia. The real number is likely higher. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_military_expenditures#/media/File:Global_Military_Spending.webp
My exact experience too, except I migrated from Sailfish OS.
How does capitalism & free market prevent monopolies? What may prevent them is human awareness, given freedom from state manipulation. Without such awareness, whoever has money will find it easier to make more money, exponentially even without help from the state.
This is ridiculing a very healthy tendency in people to avoid conflict. Not sure it would be nice to live in a place where this guy is punched after every kick - even though he deserves it.
Very much agree. The only thing that I would have said differently is to start the appeal to soldiers to stop fighting with the US ones. We can't drop out the biggest and most aggressive military.
I'm not positive I have the skills that will ensure the gun reduces overall risk rather than increase it.
As a thought exercise, what if you merge the two? That would make God an all-powerful being which is aware of the laws that bring reality into existence :-)
It seems to me that evil and good is like light and dark, and they both define each other and cannot exist without one another.
For capitalism to work and not lead us where we currently are, with a handful of extremely rich people trying to take over the globe, we need a level of awareness in people which we are quite far from still, I'm afraid.
I suspect that when we do get to that level of awareness, the social order will become largely irrelevant?
Now that a privacy friendly voice input method exists, maybe I will overcome eventually the serious discomfort I feel talking to a device.
True, but most people do nothing about their security and their eyes glaze over when you say threat model.
So far all Linux phones I have tried have been disappointing...
Used Sailfish with their own phone, then on an Xperia, it was always a little buggy and unreliable. Got graphene os and it was a game changer.
After that a Purism phone arrived with over a year delay, I struggled to find time for it because a good app store makes all the difference if you don't want to write all your apps.
