It's been two months since I applied for an OpenSats grant for chachi and I haven't heard back so I guess no news is bad news :Sadge: Probably one of the reasons is that they've funded a few NIP-29 projects already (0xChat, Flotilla, groups, that one nostr:npub1zfss807aer0j26mwp2la0ume0jqde3823rmu97ra6sgyyg956e0s6xw445 was working on can't remember the name) and the field is a bit saturated. Or maybe my project sucks lol. I'll keep shipping anyway and find a way to make it sustainable, I'm bullish af on NIP-29 specially with goats like nostr:npub149p5act9a5qm9p47elp8w8h3wpwn2d7s2xecw2ygnrxqp4wgsklq9g722q and nostr:npub1wf4pufsucer5va8g9p0rj5dnhvfeh6d8w0g6eayaep5dhps6rsgs43dgh9 entering the game.

Chachi deserves to receive the OpenSats grant. Wait a bit longer; I believe there will be good news.

Hopefully there's a fix soon 🤞

You can set trust for kind 22456 from 0xChat in Amber.

I never installed 0xchat on my graphene device, just use amethyst DMs there.

The reason is I don't feel like I can tell when it is using giftwrap DMs and when they aren't available from the interface where amethyst makes it clear. I don't DM anyone who doesn't support giftwrap in their DM client.

0xChat only supports sending Giftwrapped DMs.

ah update! I went into my OS level app settings and cleared the cache and it's WAY better.

I think it was a few hundred MB before I cleared it

Hey, someone also reported to me that it feels laggy. However, I didn’t encounter this issue during my own testing. Could you provide more detailed information so I can look into it?

For example, which phone are you using? Did the lag start from a specific version of 0xChat, or has it been laggy since the very first version you used?

You only need to create your npub to use it. Not your keys, not your chat.

Hmm, I don’t think it’s 0xChat. 0xChat uses general relays (stored only locally, will not sync to the profile.) and inbox/outbox/DM relays.

this is an extra feature, it should have an extra kind number, please cite the nip number

This is the standard NIP-51 approach; both encrypted and non-encrypted lists clients need to be supported :)

it wiped out my mute list, it was only because i had it stored in coracle android which was offline and i removed one from the list and it republished it... but 0xChat deleted my mute list, i can't forgive that, i'd had it happen before and the weeks of omg not this asshole again were not repeatable

I just tested, and it won’t wipe out the mute list. However, 0xChat encrypts the list. Could it be that some clients don’t support encrypted lists, which is why they can’t see it?

To add some data ... I login with Amber. When I first got 0xchat to work, it wasn't as slow as it is now. It may have lagged (I can't remember), but now it acts like it's unresponsive.

which phone are you using? Can you remember which 0xchat version started to have the issue?

I thought about deleting it & reinstalling, but figured if I just updated thatcprob wouldn't help much

I'm running graphene, but shouldn't be a problem because it worked smoothly before a few months ago

How did you log in? Was it using nsec, Amber, or NIP-46 QR code? If you close the app and reopen it, will it still be slow?
