Chickens free ranging in olive groves lay great eggs, fertilise the soil, restore biodiversity and keep the cash flow. going when olives are on alternate fruiting

its unusual to have zero anywhere, so I guess they all synced up. From a purely human point of view there is no fallen fruit to tidy up. No doubt ecosystem collapse is just around the corner. :)

I have added it as a relay. Cheers for the heads up. I have added the $7-ish per 3 months to the budgeting list.

In principle though, where is my original bio and profile info, if nothing ever gets deleted on Nostr?!!!! #asknostr

#asknostr anyone know anything about https://github.com/decentralisedchat

Instead of Zen Desk or Whatsapp, or similar, I have embedded this Nostr chat as an iframe in a trial Ghost website.

It asks to sign in with extension, messages go through to my DM box on Nostr, so it works on that level.

It did have an impact on my own Nostr bio as explained earlier.

Where are we at with the integrity of DMs? Are the privacy buffs rolling their eyes and I should be embedding Simplex or are my DMs OK with help requests from anons?

Good bye reply guy?. Sorely missed.

Colonialism alive and well.

A couple of other words I've come across for "foreigner" . Excuse the spelling, khawaja. The white skinned people said it means white man, but the uncomfortable truth is it actually means rich man, So some locals were known too as khawaja, and then you realise it isnt perhaps a positive word!, even though, delivered with no malice.

Here white ex pat immigrants, covering my bases there! are referred to as guiris. I've still not worked out what it really means because although it's never said with malice, they say it is tourist, but after 20 years Im still a guiri!?

In SW UK the tourists are called grokles and that was not a positive word.

Who knows in this desemanticised touchy age, does anyone know what they are even saying any more :)

Satellite earth client is so much nicer to use than the desktop

How?

building a website and embedded a nostr chat client called decentralised chat, from GitHub. It's an iframe widget. I was signed in as myself and just sent a couple of one liners that appeared in my DM as anon455666 blah blah. somehow that handle took over from my original Olive Grove eggs bio info and avatars. So they are gone :)

I presume I'm posting on my original account? it's showing my npub and I just did the usual following the unfollowed.

Makes sense. Could get dirty.

Good old Nostr, just lost all my profile info, avatar and all the rest.

Anyway, no worries, fundamentally the content is just where it should be. It should all catch up with itself I guess

I will bookmark that for now, thanks. A bit beyond my paygrade so I need to have a better look when its not past midnight.

rain fed olive trees are alternate fruiting. Because there were so many last season, it is good the trees can recuperate. Having said that I wasn't expecting to see literally none, but I was not around for the last record year to know. The whole area is the same.

It's the irrigated groves that give most years, but that's a whole different ball game.

Sorry to disappoint. The maps give a lot of detail I feel like I've been there! It's mad, though, I've been all over but know nothing of eastern Europe. Missing out, I know.

What is really behind climate change?

We are living in a world of disinformation and misinformation; #Technology and #Science are not neutral too. Phenomenons like #war and crisis are the best examples of manipulating truth. Mass Media acts as a powerful equipment to distort cognition of citizens all around the world. Some theorists believe this kind of manipulation of truth could be an effective #warfare.

During 2 decades of current century #climate_change was one of the main problematics. There are many official narratives about it, from carbon dioxide doze in atmosphere to meat industry. Also there are some narratives despite the official ones. Here are some examples:

Solar Cycles

Milankovitch Cycles

“Conspiracies”: #HARP, #Chemtrails, Atomic Experiments & etc

Methane Craters

All the narratives accept climate change as a matter of fact but the difference between them is about climate emergency. There is another narrative that denys climate change and believes it’s a scam, but there are many symptoms to prove something happens:

#Biodiversity Collapse

Vast #Droughts

#Wildfires

#Soil Erosion

#Hurricanes

Thawing #Permafrost

As a person who tries to find a narrative closer to the truth, I should confess it’s really confusing. International institutions find a new opportunity to build a new order and governments take advantage of this discourse to spread the domain of #surveillance.

I wrote these lines here in order to start a discussion and share my confusion. I’ll be glad to see your awakening comments.

Climate change is too big a concept, too many moving parts, too easy to get whataboutery so it becomes a sullied subject.

I am a simple person and just look out the window and what I see tallies with that last list, mostly man made pollution and interference on a local level multiplied about globally.

The eco devastation of wars, forest fires, just two incredibly destructive events with mans paws all over them. Kind of doesn't matter if "the global climate" is misfiring, til we aren't doing our nonsense locally, it's hard to have a debate about how we pull together to improve the world. Cheers

what a great attitude: Organic Maps is one of the few applications nowadays that supports 100% of features without an active Internet connection. Install Organic Maps, download maps, throw away your SIM card, and go for a weeklong trip on a single battery charge without any byte sent to the network. https://organicmaps.app/

Am I the only one still floundering with Fountain app? They had no idea about the Amber signer. The signer is fine with every other site but not Fountain, so no Zapping account set up. Nuts.

Simple, sharable steps to adopt a Proper Human Diet

1. Eliminate anything containing added sugar from your diet.

This sugar provides no benefit to your body and leads to high blood sugar, high insulin levels & chronic inflammation. This includes fruit juices which in many cases contain more sugar than a Coke.

2. Eliminate all grains & legumes from your diet. Wheat, rice, oats, corn, soybeans, etc. These have very little in the way of meaningful nutrition and contain 2 things to avoid; i. starch-long chains of sugar that break down into sugar in your body & ii. gluten-like inflammatory proteins that lead to chronic inflammation.

3. Eliminate seed oils from your diet. Canola, soybean, corn, peanut, sunflower, safflower, etc. These oils are new to the human diet and contain too much Omega-6 fatty acids that research has shown to lead to chronic inflammation in some people.

*** These 1st 3 steps will remove 100% of ultra-processed food from your diet and will give immediate results (in weeks) for 80% of people.

4. Make sure each meal contains meat, seafood or eggs. These foods were eaten by your ancestors for millions of years and are very nutrient-dense. Although many main-stream sources claim that these foods are inflammatory, we've seen bloodwork from 10,000's of people whose inflammatory markers go down on meat.

Carbohydrate Knob theory: Some people can tolerated more carbs than others. People who fatten easily or develop diabetes easily need to turn down their carb intake knob closer to zero. Young, active people can tolerate more natural carbs in their diet. Remember, there is no Need for carbs in the diet. As you turn down the Carb Intake Knob more & more you will be eating more meat, eggs & seafood...

Snacking: Snacking is never healthy, regardless of the snack. Eat discrete meals during the day separated by periods of not eating. Eating due to boredom or stress is never a healthy choice.

Plant Toxins: All plants use chemical defense chemicals to protect their parts, this is inarguable. Some plants are more toxic than others. Some people can tolerate these toxins more than others. Anyone suffering from inflammatory or auto-immune disease should try 90 days of Carnivore to see if they are reacting to the plant chemicals.

DAIRY: All mammals (you) can tolerate dairy as an infant. At about age 4-8 years most people (70% +/-) become lactose intolerant. That is not the only problem with dairy. Many people also become sensitive to the Caseins & Wheys in milk. This manifests in inflammatory conditions of the skin, joints, gut, mental... Dairy also contains caso-morphins that mimic morphine in the brain and can make dairy addictive to some people. This is good for keeping babies interested in mother's milk, but can cause adults to over eat/drink dairy for the good feeling. Some cheeses actually concentrate the caso-morphin content...

OK, that a good beginner course, I will answer every good question you ask here...

What's your view on Goat and sheep's cheese? My understanding is they digest and produce milk/cheese that is far healthier than cow-based dairy, especially when they are wandering the hills not the feedlots.

Its obviously a loaded question!!! I cant eat meat, literally makes me puke, and I am big into goat cheese and eggs in my veggie diet.

As a good friend said, we don't want to get into a mindset where all food is deemed poison By the same token, maybe we miss the memo sometimes.

#asknostr what are some of the better ways these days to turn the spoken word into text?

Good spot . At the moment there's not much of any life, it's actually raining. Yay
