But isn’t that true for all kinds of trust? All trust is fine if it is not violated. That is precisely the problem with trust in general: That depends on someone.
That’s good news! Not money and also no value. So… no tax! All European governments please, forget about bitcoin.
Are they still pushing their shitcoin?
I indeed think it’s interesting for people migrating from Twitter to Nostr. I would prefer all people that I follow on twiter posts the same in Noatr so I would have no incentive to use Twitter anymore.
This is quite funny from a Spanish point of view. A Spanish written text has unique pronunciation. Always. It makes no sense to discuss how to pronounce the word. Written and phonetics are the same.
Fully agree! Mainstream media is garbage. It’s the “soma” in Brave New World.
It’s a joke for us, but unfortunately judges thought the world take him seriously and although at the end he loses, in the process he is doing a lot of harm to devs.
I don’t think it is. I think anti fragility is a feature that emerges from the software AND the community/ethos of bitcoin, not only from the software. I also think (and hope) it can get better.
Ordinal theory is one thing. Inscriptions are another one (that uses it). Ordinal theory maps each sat to a S/N (an ordinal). Ofc it is an arbitrary order, but a malicious agent (government) could make use of this. Independent of the number of inscriptions. IMO any attempt or means to differentiate one sat from another one is an attack on bitcoin fungibility.
Indeed, as long as btc keeps doubling each 4 years, the reward in $ terms is equal or greater. That can continue easily for more than 5 halvings and by then fees can take over.
IMO anti fragility is not a binary thing. It depends on the whole community also, not only on the software. If wrong ideas spread into Bitcoin community then Bitcoin can become more fragile. I think ordinals and inscriptions are bad: ordinals proposes a way to break fungibility. Inscriptions gives enemies the opportunity to inscribe “bad jpegs” to allow states to forbid running full nodes. That’s an attack vector that I hope is never used but now it exists and is easy. Also it pushes unwanted MB on lots of node users.
I think the “it’s not spam bc they pay the fees” is a wrong idea that hurts anti fragility. Does not kill it but hurts it.
Hashrate per capita! Interesting concept.
Salty big blockers think it's ironic that Bitcoiners love nostr because they're still coping with their loss 5 years later by believing that it was due to censorship. https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/11565jn/a_lot_of_blockstream_core_people_are_now_using_a/
They don’t understand how pro-censorship people are anti-censorship people 😂😂😂
