I think you are thinking along exactly the right lines, just being a bit too pedantic about the terminology. there are risks and costs with ā€œdeployingā€ bitcoin in this way that have no analogue in tradfi, but I firmly believe ā€œcost of capitalā€ still applies. the proper understanding of CoC is something like ā€œopportunity cost of alternative deploymentā€ - you clearly have to think about that here and the risk/reward tradeoff may be new, but the principles guiding the decision are the same at a high level.

hehehe.

I haven’t seen Oppenheimer yet so it’s not to say it’s better necessarily. although once I do see it, that would be an even more annoying and hilarious take to have. I’ll keep it in mind.

I’m kinda overfitting here but I would imagine that’s because it’s (real) message got through to her, at least a little.

okay but have you actually seen Barbie? I’m not joking, it’s very, very good.

no I’m deadly serious. I’d give very good odds the person you heard the conflicting view from is an idiot who is so wedded to monotone culture war ranting that the satire went completely over their head.

if you think that’s an accurate assessment you are either an idiot or you have believed an idiot.

to be clearer, politics shouldn’t have anything to do with appreciating how good a film it is. intelligent conservatives and progressives will view it the same way. what’s hilarious is that stupid conservatives and stupid progressives have their own stupid takes that force political readings into something that is essentially a satire of *exactly* that kind of blunt and forced narrow-mindedness.

Lol meant to say stupid progressives and stupid conservatives but may have had a freudian slip šŸ˜‚

which is a shame because the stupid conservative takes are even dumber and get it even less than the stupid progressive ones.
