Maybe I'll check into that. Lots of egirls, japanese accounts, some political, that I'm not friends with at all. How do you check hashtags?
My Amethyst feed is full of all kinds of spam from people I don't know and I still can't figure out which accounts are causing this to happen or why my feed is the way it is.
From a survey of 500 folks who left Mastodon for Bluesky: about half of them mentioned content warnings, and most of those responses pointed to what they perceived as unreasonable expectations for content warnings. Several mentioned that they got scolded for insufficient content warnings by people who weren’t on their instance. Others said that their fear of unintentionally breaking content warning expectations or other unwritten rules of the Fediverse made them too anxious to post, or made posting feel like work.
In other words, the Fediverse has been taken over by Karens.

Combination of clunky system, annoying user cyltures, bad onboarding experiences. People want to join, and immediately connect with friends and not get constantly told they are doing it wrong.
Will you be doing these again?
Before we start LARPing too much about how Nostr should take over the world and people should ditch other platforms, let’s acknowledge the fact that nostr:npub1wv79gfl4tn46qxs0vcr6kr73rqethvna0kchk4cw06mmdzsgrkdqmkxye0, one of the best MMA fighters of all time, is on Nostr. Most of you don’t follow her yet, even though she has been here for a while now.
I personally want to tell Cris, “thank you.” We appreciate her presence. There is no better proof of work than full-contact MMA.
In order for Nostr to grow, it can’t just be bitcoiner techies. It has to be others too. I personally really like the MMA people but more broadly, we should reach out to non-techie people and actually appreciate it when they decide to care about decentralized money and communication.
Thank you Cris, for caring about decentralization and proof of work.
This is important- welcoming new people.
We need to focus on build community tools, and filters and voluntary market of automated data orgazing that make it easier to connect and see people.
In the mean time- this is the way- be sure to regularly check in on and boost people you love. 🤙
No trouble.
I'm going to suggest tsome friendly follows for you.

No. Not really.
Nostr needs to build out its ability to have private communities that use the protocol/relays but have their own mods, standards, block lists-etc.
It's a technicle problem- nostr is like early email and very much still in development as you have likely noticed. I'm urging the devs here to build these tools to allow communities to define their own boundaries.
Twitter is done. 🫡

Yeah tha sounds about right- a distinct typography style to unite the whole thing visually and make the orange O work
The typography needs to be more consistent. Because it's not the O reads as a logo inatead.
I remember seeing that too.
The other reason is that it can improve your feed by eliminating junk and auto bringing you relevant content. The issue is that you do not want them owning, selling, and manipulating this convenience.
Open-source markeyplace of smart feed filters are the way.
Musks doing some worst timeline shit with this plan to rename Twitter
But it feels like an opportunity.
Alternate timeline twitter app anyone?
This plot is "into the spiderverse" but with Twitter.

Why is this bot in my Amethyst feed? I don't follow it and no one I know boosted this.
All I gotta do is give you a 3d scan of my body, a vial of blood, and wear a GPS locator at all times, and pay $8 a month? Sold!
Can communities be hosted only on particular relays?
