I believe there are 3 groups:
1. arrogant enough that they believe their ideas are so good that they have to beaten to others
2. insecure ppl who are afraid that they won't be able to live without help (and they don't know the cost of this help)
3. idealists who believe their ideas are so good they can save the world (and don't understand they need 1st kind)

Our highschool class, we had a custodial mail list in late 90s. I didn't like that the custodian approved the content. who can join, filtering etc.
so i setup the whole thing, domain, smtp and xmpp server...
for free. and for fun.
it gave sysadmin basics and actually started my IT career.
If you need only those two things, go with tails.
If you want to be also productive then go with either of the two.
If you like cutting edge sw, like me, go with fedora.
We are past animal stage.

I'd say anarchy is how we got from poverty to not poverty.
In my country, we have almost 0 unemployment. Really, ppl not working here either are unable or don't want to.
Our problem is consumer spending. Nobody spends. We are cautious and waiting.
Funny thing is that the state can't "invest" because there's no one who could do whatever they decided to build. The only thing they can do, is to raise salaries for public sector (which is a lot of people here).
