Supporting a decentralised future of sound money and technology. Study Bitcoin. Run a node! ITM!

Just FYI for anyone doing this. If you're testing on WiFi you'll only get the speed of your WiFi connection to the router. You'd have to test from a wired connection to get full speed of your network. πŸ˜‰ Unless your connection is less than your WiFi speed. 🫑🫠

Heading to the Punk in Drublic tour this summer! NOFX's last tour. Really looking forward to seeing Face to Face and Descendents!!!

I’m new here. Found Nostr by way of the Primal app, that I found by way of nostr:npub1spdnfacgsd7lk0nlqkq443tkq4jx9z6c6ksvaquuewmw7d3qltpslcq6j7 on IG when he mentioned using Primal for bitcoin zaps amd transactions.

What I notice over here in Nostr land is Devs talking about getting more conversions to Nostr, yet it seems more geared to Devs…

As a non technical human artist,

I am asking what is Nostr anyway.

Welcome!

I'd argue the builders should be prominent. It means they haven't been pushed into the background by middle management and become an after thought. For example, think about how cool Google use to be, it was because the devs could build things that people wanted.

Just talk about what you want to talk about and you'll find others with similar interests. Bring some friends along. πŸ‘πŸ™‚

Paper straws are awful (for those who don't know). Glad this is being fought. Yet another overreach by those in Trudeau's government. He's just the "pretty face" who goes along with it all. He's not setting agendas. Thanks CCF!

At first I thought that my nsec was going to be attached to my account, I'm happy it's not. Thanks for making that choice.

I think it would be best if there was a spot to put in your existing nsec when you install the extension. Actually it should be have the option to create a new one or add your existing one. That would be the best flow.

It's strange that it just bypasses this step when you log in and I don't recall seeing any info about it during the install. It's caught a few people that I know by surprise. They thought their Alby account was broken with Nostr, but it's just the wrong nsec.

Realised a while back that when I log into the Alby extension on a new computer it loads a random nsec. Then I have to go into the wallet settings and put in the proper one, manually. Then delete my client cookies and log in again.

I'm guessing it's so the nsec isn't stored on their server, but it's a little confusing when you first log into a client and just end up with some random account. I've never seen any instructions when logging into the extension that explain that's the case.

Is my account just weird or do other people see this too?

I saw this post via a boost. (I was already following).

Nice. Do I have to turn it on? Was still having image loading issues on snort.social today. I was told in the past it was because nostr.build uses/used CloudFlare Polish which modifies the images so they wouldn't be loaded on Snort. So will this fix that?
