Yes we got fiber installed as a pilot program in our neighborhood. So they could sell to more people since the infrastructure was run. I got lucky upgrading to it!!

Just FYI for anyone doing this. If you're testing on WiFi you'll only get the speed of your WiFi connection to the router. You'd have to test from a wired connection to get full speed of your network. π Unless your connection is less than your WiFi speed. π«‘π«

Thatβs running the test directly in the router. WiFi speed is much lower. Not sure if Iβm connected to the main router or a repeater though.

If you have Fiber available in your area, consider switching. In our area its for the same price.
My wife needs the upload speed because her job requires uploading/ syncing Gigabyte sized architectural models.
Also comes handy when streaming/ or multiple video calls etc.
But in reality we rarely upload while using the internet.
Hah Sleepy.. 161Megabit is fast?! (according to your speedtester) I thought USA lead the world with internet speeds...
(and im pissed off it's not hitting mid 900s!) ((more outraged by the upstream though, the world needs more uploaders!))
