Sounds great :) You got one important thing out of the way and it does not matter how crazy the day goes...nobody can take it away from you.

But hard to do with early work schedules.

I'm pretty new to the gym in general. So I've been doing cardio 2 days a week, and weights 3 days per week. An arm/shoulder day, a chest/back day, and a leg day.

I actually just started going to the gym in the morning since I started a new job that gives me the time! It's been great. I feel a bit more tired on my way to work, but I feel great for the rest of the day.

I just learned about #nostrcypher courtesy of nostr:npub1dy7zsvk7jwd547xvmpptzlc9muhd64g7txvf60zwlxjyj4aj78as6hljz5 -- and I'm so psyched to get involved. Suddenly chomping at the bit for Friday to get here.

It's been kinda fun to watch the social media world lose its mind over Threads and X. Meanwhile, in nostr land, I'm having plenty of fun trying all the different clients and interacting with the same userbase in all sorts of different ways.

We're already here. Other folks just haven't found us yet.

I must admit that I'm struggling to find a decent use case for #nostr as protocol.

The clients are often inconsistent, which makes the user experience poor or impaired. Some are extremely capable, others are basic.

Also, where are the old posts? They are lost somewhere and hardly loaded. There is no separation between media and text notes, which makes it hard for artists to showcase their work.

The filtering by hashtag is okay, but more is needed. The scrolling becomes a lot heavy after a while.

I might find it interesting as a coder, but that's different from my goal here at the moment. Also, the conversations with "notes and reply" are suboptimal because the notifications point to a specific point of the discussion. Then it is all about digging your way back to the original note.

No censorship is fantastic, but there is no spam protection, either. More control over your own content would be handy.

I'm not defending or supporting any bird, but this is far from being an alternative.

I'm not giving up yet, but it doesn't work for me so far.

Actually ditched my cast iron a year ago for Carbon Steel and have only barely looked back. It can do what my cast iron could, and it's lighter.

Reading Ultralearning. Fantastic dive into how to learn things in the modern world. Applying it to learning Rust.

Also crawling my way through Sanderson's Cosmere. Done with Mistborn and Stormlight Archive. Now reading Warbreaker. Cannot recommend Sanderson's writing enough if you are a fan of fantasy, and don't mind length.
